    • Multiple charging options and easy to use
I have 2 of the 2 amp chargers for my trucks and a 1 amp charger for my cycles. The options to charge multiple battery types is a definite advantage. Previously used a standard tender a a AGM battery and it was dead within 12 months. The NOCO units came with alligator clamps to attach to battery terminals. Had to buy an accessory SAE adapter to attach the charger to the standard pigtail’s commonly used on small batteries. SAE adapter was $18 which pretty expensive. I have two vehicles. One is all wheel drive and unfortunately my Nissan Xterra is only rear wheel drive because I bought it in Sunny California where you don't need four-wheel drive for snowy weather but then moved back to a four Season City and therefore I have to store my Xterra in the garage in winter because it doesn't handle well with all the snow that we get. This little maintenance device is perfect for this situation as it keeps my battery completely charged ready to go and safely. I plug it in and walk away and it can sit for weeks on end but I do go out once a week and unplug it and start the vehicle and shift the gears and drive it a few feet in each direction to keep the tires nice and round and not create flat spots but this has kept my battery 100% maintained so I don't have to worry about having to charge it or get a jump and all that once I go out to start it after sitting for several weeks at a time in between startups. It's been perfect I highly recommend getting one after a couple months of PacificNE Winter this has kept my winter-stired vehicle battery totally topped off and ready I started it up after a few weeks and it started immediately as if I'd just driven it. It's not a charger per se but will trickle charge. It's meant to KEEP the battery charged after driving the vehicle, then keeping it topped off and ready This does exactly that Plug it in and connect and gently close the hood and walk away and battery can sit there for months if need be wit me no way if over charging or fire etc Small but very informative and storming! well made. Purchased this cause I have not driven my mustang in 4 months due to the winter months, and my battery keeps dying cause it just sits, this little device might be little but it does a big job and does it well! It is easy to connect and works with a nice selection of batteries . The ability to charge a completely dead battery is nice. However, not everything is good. I have 2 of these and when I connected the newest one to a battery, it indicated the battery had problems and would not charge it even though the battery was in good working order. Swapped chargers and the problem disappeared. Both chargers then seemed fine. Also, it comes with alligator clips to connect the battery. Adapters and accessories tend to be expensive as an adapter to the typical 2 prong plug was 50% of the cost of a charger. ... show more

I got this since my ATV's alternator went out and the battery died. I wanted to ensure the battery doesn't take any damage while i get around to fixing/replacing the alternator. this was very easy to use and understand and i had it out of the box and all hooked up and charging in less than 1 minute.     • No More Worrying About Garaged Vehicle's Battery Running Down
My husband quit driving two years ago, and his vehicle, a 2009 Mini Cooper sits in our garage. I have tried to remember to take it out and drive it from time to time, but the little that I'm doing has not kept the battery charged. I bought the NOCO GENIUS2 after using the company's jumpstarter to jump a nearly dead battery the week before. I had watched YouTube videos on the battery chargers (various sizes) and decided that the GENIUS2 would be the best fit for my needs, even though I think the GENIUS1 would have sufficed as this car is always garaged and doesn't need to be weather-resistant, which the 2 is. I unboxed the GENIUS2, connected the red (+) and then the neg (-), plugged the charger into an extension cord - the 72" cord isn't quite enough and most will need an extension cord to use this charger - and then plugged the extension cord into a surge-protected outlet. The charger recognized the 12V connection and started charging within 10 seconds. Despite having run the car for about an hour, the battery was still low, but was topped off to full charge in 6 hours. I took the charger off the battery (reversing the order of how I put it on) and let the vehicle sit for 24 hours without the charger on it. When I put the charger back on, it was still at full battery. FYI... the battery is fairly new so this was not unexpected. I like that this battery charger is so easy to use and clearly shows the operator what's going on and when the process is completed. Based on my positive experience with both the NOCO jumpstarter and the GENIUS2, I've purchased a GENIUS1 to use with my lawn tractor, replacing an older one by another maker. I think I've found a brand I can trust, and I'm happy to recommend the NOCO GENIUS2 to anyone who needs a automotive charger and battery maintainer. SIDE NOTE: My husband didn't think I'd be able to jumpstart the car with the jumper pack, nor did he think I'd be able to setup the battery maintainer. He was thrilled that he was wrong and that it was all so easy to do. The old way of jumpstarting a battery and getting sparks or feeling like you might get zapped is no longer a worry. No one should be afraid to use these products and everyone should have at least the jumpstarter in their car. (It would make a great graduation gift for kids going to college.) ... show more
