I'm very happy with this chair. 8 ordered 2 so I'm still waiting for the other. The wooden dowels fit right so they're difficult to get in but I used a hammer and gently tapped them and they went right in. Had some difficulty attaching the arms to the dowels but I flipped the arm around and it went in better. When the 2nd chair gets here, I'm sure it will go easier. Chair feels solid and I would say they're very good quality and a good value for the money. It also feels comfortable to sit in. The height is fine for our round dining table. In getting the sides attached, I found if it doesn't line up very well, try the other side. One thing on the dowels, they have to be perfectly straight to fit into the holes of the arms, and 1/16" can be all it takes. Do when looking under to see which one isn't going in, you'll know which one to gentle tap to straight. ... show more

Good build, finish, function, comfort and appearance. Easy assembly with provided Allen Wrench. Assemble rather loosely then go around and tighten the screws. My wife likes them... which is all that matters.

I love the look of this chair. It was very easy to put together, & seemed very sturdy. However, the back leaned too far back for my comfort. If it hadn’t been for that, I would have ordered several more.

Bought four of these. Easily assembled. Sturdy. Comfortable. At least three of them were. The fourth did not have nuts required for assembly in the bottom of the seat. Assembly instructions said contact on line customer service. No link included on packaging or instructions. After google search found two phone numbers. Got a recording , unable to answer. Canned AI questions on Amazon say nothing about a defective part. Product is faulty. Customer service is inadequate. ... show more

Great value. Lightly padded, so firm but comfortable, with good lumbar support. Perfect for a senior or anyone who wants to be able to hoist themselves out easily. Mine came with a few slight imperfections in the finish, like where there was a knot near the surface, but they are all on the inner faces of the side frames where they're not too obvious, and you expect some less than flawless solid wood for under $100. It comes with the wench you need to assemble it, but I used subs Titebond II wood glue on the dowel joints and a 5mm hex bit in my power screwdriver to get it together in 45 minutes including setting it on various slightly uneven floor surfaces and re-tightening the screws to eliminate wobbling. There is a minor error in the instructions: step 2 shows inserting dowel pins into the left side of the seat and not the right side, but then steps 3 and 4 show attaching the right frame; then step 5 shows attaching the right frame again. If you look at steps 3 and 4 in a mirror, you can follow them without trouble. Or just wing it; the only way you could get it together wrong would be for the seat or back to be oriented wrong which is fixable by disassembling and starting over. ... show more

    • good looking chair but sometimes a challenge to assemble.
quality appears to be good, one chair assembled perfectly, 2nd chair took 2/3 hours as one thread insert was short and cocked sideways, even with being a millwright for 40 years (retired) this was a cuss word challenge but ended up assembled without damage to chairs. they are comfortable and sturdy but need real chair glides that are in process! ... show more

Really nice. Somewhat tricky to get the wooden dowel to line up. Suggestion, don't tighten anything until it's together. Then go around and tighten them, and tighten a second time.

I love this chair. I have trouble getting off some chairs because of arthritic knees. This chair is sturdy and I am able to use the arms to help get up. It's also attractive and was easy to assemble.
