The seat is rather stiff, but the seat back has provided much better support for my back. The assembly went quite well, despite no "written words" with the illustrated assembly booklet, where a couple spots weren't quite clear cut in doing the assembly. But this chair is solid, and the armrests being very adjustable is fantastic. The seat cushion part does not seem to tilt downwards, only will tilt backwards when "reclining" the seat back. This was recommended by a friend, and the value and quality of this chair is very well worth the price.

Loving this chair. My wife and I were both previously using the Tempur-Pedic TP9000 chair. I'd been using mine for probably 6 or 7 years. Those were awesome chairs. The mechanism in my wife's started to wobble, though, so I decided to look for a replacement. Honestly I think it was a factory defect because hers was only a year old...but it was still too late to try dealing with any kind of warranty. I remembered seeing a review for Noblechairs on YouTube (specifically by KitGuru Tech) and decided to look in to it. After reading and watching dozens more reviews, and consistently hearing about the outstanding quality, I decided to buy one. I chose the Hero specifically due to the more comfortable size and less prominent bolstering (my wife likes to sit cross-legged in the chair sometimes, so I wanted to make sure she would still have room to do so). Spoiler alert - I ended up liking the chair so much that after getting my wife one I also ordered one for myself. Delivery was way faster than originally advertised, so that was nice. Once it arrived, I immediately ripped open the packaging and got to work assembling it. My wife helped put it together, but the task can easily be done by a single person. All of the components were in perfect condition and appeared to be high quality (and heavy). I really like the mechanism for this chair (the part that connects the bottom of the seat to the hydraulic cylinder). Normally, that is the part of a chair that fails after enough use. The mechanism on this chair, however, appears to be very durable. The chair is rated for up to 330 lbs and it definitely feels like it. Everything about it is solid. The only part of the chair with play to it is the arm rests, which can be jiggled a bit. I'm not sure that it's avoidable to have at least a little jiggle to adjustable arm rests in an office chair, so I don't hold this against them. When resting my elbows on them they don't move. I do agree with another reviewer who stated that the quality of the material on the arm rests leaves a bit to be desired. Perhaps some kind of padding would be nice, but they're fine as is so I'm not dwelling on it. The recessed plastic edges near the buttons you press to adjust the lateral position of the arm rests is a bit sharp. I should be able to fix that in about 10 seconds with sanding paper, but I really feel like that should be caught in QA. Again, not a big deal. If I'm buying a nice chair and that's the only complaint I can come up with, then I consider it a good chair. The adjustment controls feel great. Reclining is solid and smooth. Tilting backwards feels great, and the amount of resistance can be adjusted with a knob on the bottom of the mechanism. The lower-back adjustment feels present but mostly insignificant - maybe it's just the way I sit. The padding feels excellent. It's a bit on the firm side, but that's what I want. This chair does not feel like it's going to go flat after a couple years of use. I don't know much about this "cold formed foam" or whatever process they use, but it feels amazing. The shape is nice and supportive (I'm about 6'1"). The pillows are nice, too, but I only really use the one for my neck. The second pillow, intended for lower back support, doesn't feel very comfortable so I don't use it. Overall this is an amazing chair and I'm happy with the purchase, provided that they last for years and years (spending almost $900 for a pair of computer chairs is not something I want to do frequently). If anything changes I'll update the review.

I got this chair for a chirstmas gift big resident evil fan that's why I got the chair but putting it together was a little tough one of the screws kept striping in the arm rest part but the other screw holding in place but when I turn the chair around in the coner it had a rip in it very disappointing with that for the money I payed for it but overall it's a nice chair

I'm about 6'7" or 6'8" with a lot of my height being in my legs. I weight 240 lbs, fairly low fat, semi muscular. I want to mention that up front, as that information is important to understanding my experience with this chair. The chair is pretty easy to put together and in general the QA seems to be pretty good. I'm not sure if I got lucky, but if you've read past reviews of noble chairs products, there has been some inconsistency around badging. I don't know if their processes have improved, but my chair showed up without any noticeable flaws. Its not what I'd qualify as "beautifully crafted" but it doesn't look like garbage either. The bolts aligned well, nothing weird, and the casters are quite good and roll easily. Now in terms of comfort. Surprisingly, the backrest is plenty tall for me, and in fact the included pillow is very comfortable even at my height (i'm not pushing it over the top). I was afraid I would be at the end of the height range for the back, but there is plenty of room. Now, people have complained that the chair is too hard - I have not found it to be even close to too hard (my butt is rock hard and not particularly small - your mileage may vary). The lumbar support is quite comfortable as well. The arm rests are well positioned and adjustable in 4 directions. The seat height adjustment goes too high even for me at its highest point. The lowest point should support someone smaller - my guess would be someone around 5'10 to 6 ft. I should mention that the chair I'm replacing is an Ikea Markus. I had the chair for about 7 years - it held up for a good while but its pretty trashed at this point. The chair fit me fairly well, except the seating area was too narrow with the arm rests attached, so I did not use them. Now - I've given the product 4 stars simply because of the return policy and how NobleChairs works. If you buy this product, you are taking a risk in that it will likely be expensive and painful to return this product if you do not like it. This is probably standard for "gaming chairs", or perhaps not, but in any case take into account that you are buying a product that costs over $400 with no possible way to try without buying unless you are in Berlin or happen to catch them at an event of some kind. As far as durability, I've only had the product for a few days. I'll update with good or bad news. Update: July 2019. Chair is great. It does soften up a bit. I can sit in this chair all day and be comfortable and supported. Zero durability issues. Updating to 5 stars despite draconian return policy.
