The scooter works fine until the Amazon return window closes, then Niu bricks the scooter by unbinding it from the app, then requres you to give them either your email and password -- to your actual email account -- to "unlock" the thing, or your Amazon account information. This is phishing via physical devices and Amazon needs to be alerted.

The throttle seems a little loose/cheap. For what I have to use it for it's decent. Expect to only go 9mph if you want the full 29 miles. But it seems built quite well. Really easy to use.

Purchase the scooter about 7 months ago. On average. I use it about three times a week to go to the office. 5 mi each way. So quite a lot of riding. Generally the scooter is pretty good. Comfortable, accelerates well, good brakes, looks good and has decent shock. Absorbers. Biggest problem is starting to be battery life. I used to be able to go to and from the office on a single charge and now I'm finding that about half a mile from my house on their way back. It runs out of battery and that's despite the display saying that I have two bars out of five left. So definitely not the best battery life that I've seen. The other issue is the mobile app which on Android frankly is just not very good. On the one hand, when you lock the scooter using the app through Bluetooth, what I found is that sometimes the rear light stays on which completely can drain the battery if you're not careful. On the other hand, the Bluetooth connection doesn't seem to hold between my phone and the scooter. I'm on a pixel 8. So a high-end Android phone. Whenever I try and do a firmware update the Bluetooth disconnects and it gives me an error saying that there's no connection. So these guys have definitely not put enough time and effort into the mobile application. That's pretty typical and I see this when manufactures all the time, especially on Android. If they could somehow improve the battery life and fix the mobile app, the ladder of which is pretty simple, this could easily be a 5 out of five. But given those issues I can't give it more than a three. Hope this helps

I have had my K300X for less than 30 full days and scooter itself is falling apart, the moter overheats the fender and retention hook to close the scooter cracked with minimal force and the break line snapped day one.

Build quality is good, with plenty of power for commuting around. Front suspension is good, but could use a rear shock in very bad roads. Would prefer a thumb throttle.
