Easy to Use with Great Results

We used the heck out of this during the summer. We probably used it 3-6 times a week making Slushi cocktails to enjoy in the pool. It’s quite easy to use. I’ve never used any of the cycles other than SlushAssist. It figures it out. Occasionally, it comes out a bit runny and maybe I should have made a manual adjustment, but it’s still quite good and I can trade off it coming out slightly runny sometimes for not having to fiddle with it. I’ve been using Grok to help me come up with Slushi cocktail recipes based on what I have on hand, trying to hit the minimum sugar levels, and staying under the maximum alcohol levels, and it works really well. Occasionally it will beep at me to add water, but you just add 3 tbsp of water per cup of Slushi, and press SlushAssist again. Very occasionally I really got the ratios wrong and it’ll ask for water an additional time. The only problem is having to clean up this machine when you stumble back in from the yard after 96 ounces of Slushi cocktails because it’s all hand wash only, which is a bit of a pain. ...and I have a bunch of them. I was a Ninja blender early adopter in 2012, got the first version of the Ninja Coffee Bar when it launched and am on my 3rd version of it now, have owned 2 versions of the Creami, FOUR different Air Fryer/Air Fryer ovens, the personal blender, the pots/pans, the knife set, the k-cup single serving coffee maker, and more that I'm sure I'm not even thinking of at the moment. I've bought the Coffee Bar and Crispis as gifts for numerous people over the years. This is my second Slushi purchase. I am absolutely a HUGE Ninja fan. The Slushi rates at the top of my absolute favorite Ninja products. It's an ingenious machine, almost too easy to operate (seriously, make it harder, I don't need all these calories), and just overall so, so fantastic. It's SO versatile- you can make slushies, alcoholic drinks, frozen fruit juices, and my absolute favorite- frozen coffee/frappucinos. Just this morning I tried making a frozen london fog for the first time- GAME CHANGER. Your mixture MUST contain a level of either sugar or alcohol in it to freeze- that's my ONLY disappointment, that I can't effectively slush a grapefruit sparkling water. The machine will shut down if it doesn't detect enough sugar/alcohol. You can change the freeze level of each beverage- I find that I like my drinks more frozen or "firmer" than the initial suggested level that pops up when you choose your beverage, so I frequently raise the chill level. The texture is phenomenal- you can do everything from lightly frozen to almost ice block. The machine is relatively easy to clean, though it MUST be cleaned immediately after each use. If you let it sit more than an hour or so, the residue will become sticky and hard to remove. At the very least the removable parts should be rinsed after if you can't get around to a full cleaning right away. It does come with a drip tray and it IS a needed accessory- the spout does drip a bit for a couple minutes after dispensing, so be aware of your countertops. I split with my ex at the end of the last year and told him he could have the Slushi- because I wanted to buy a new one :D

Perhaps the best Ninja appliance

Let me preface by saying I am a Ninja fan and I do own multiple Ninja devices so perhaps I'm slightly biased. Also, to get the negatives out of the way first - I've noticed so far this machine has the same issues EVERY Ninja device that uses liquid has. They all leak out of the spout long after you've stopped using it. My Thirsi does it, my Pods & Grounds does it, and now this Slushi does it. It's not the end of the world but it's certainly annoying. I've only used the Slushi function so far but if the others work as well then I can assume safely. This machine is probably the best Ninja product I've bought other than my air fryer. All you have to do is open the hatch, pour your ingredients in, and let it run. Make sure to chill liquids for optimal performance. As anything you read will tell you - the liquid has to have an appropriate sugar content to freeze. That doesn't mean you can't use sugar free or diet drinks. You just have to put the right amount of sugar per 8 oz of liquid. I've made frozen cokes just like I used to drink growing up from Speedway, Thorntons etc. and they're excellent. Right now I'm drinking a frozen butterbeer (Harry Potter) recipe I made and I can easily say that it's better than what you get at Universal Studios, for way cheaper. You of course need the ingredients on hand for this machine to have any value but with the insane prices at stores like Starbucks, Wendy's, even Sonic, there's no way you won't save money with this machine. I got it on sale for $280 including tax for the FS301 (the "low end" model if you go by Ninja's chart) and I can say probably within a few weeks I will have saved that much money with summer officially starting soon. It can make smoothies, slushies, milkshakes, Margaritas, pina coladas, frozen bloody marys, Frosty's, Frappucinos, and doubtless tons more stuff. I'm hoping to try out some Pina Colada this weekend once I can get to the store for the rum. Once you select a preset, the sensor will suggest whether the temperature needs to be increased or decreased and this also indicates if there's enough sugar in the mix. The presets aren't perfect but they're a good start. The slushi has a very easy rinse feature too. For slushi's you can just pour water into the reservor and hit the Rinse setting for it to clean itself. Depending on ingredients, like if you put caramel or butterscotch or something into the mix it will require more thorough cleaning so you'll have to dump the reservoir - which the dispenser handle does easily - and then remove the spill guard and the entire reservoir. All of it is dishwasher safe, too.

Ninja Slushi so far is great. I got it Saturday and used it everyday so far. I made coffee, pink lemonade and coke slushies. There amazing tasting. You can put it on different setting to how slushi you like it. Let’s hope it continues. Ninja so far has been a great quality. The blue color is really pretty blue. Performance over all is excellent. Easy to do.

I was so skeptical at first but this product has been great! So easy to use! Instructions are on the machine as well as in a booklet to give you guidance. Recipes are so easy to follow. It says it takes 45 minutes but it works faster if your liquids are already chilled. They taste great! It’s great for frappes, milkshakes and slushies! Getting the fruits juices in there for kids it’s wonderful! Highly recommend! Oh and forgot…it’s soooo easy to clean!
