  • Versatile, worth the money, will entice you to cook more made from scratch
Style: New
After copious research, I chose the Ninja Foodi 6.5 quart. It differs from the 8 quart only in the depth of the pot. For two of us the size I got is plenty. I love the fact that this is a replacement for my Crock Pot, a pressure cooker, a fryer, and a dehydrator. I have only used it for the pressure cooker (the best known of which in recent years is the competitor Insta Pot), and the slow cooker option. Applesauce that takes me four hours in a Crock Pot takes 20-30 minutes in the Foodi. I have made flourless chocolate cake, split pea soup, applesauce, Chicken Cordon Bleu, hard boiled eggs, breakfast eggs en cocotte, and more. I like the “air crisp” option, which is more popularly called air frying, and which uses minimal amounts of oil for a wonderfully crisp result. I love this gadget! If I had to give up my full size oven for it I would. I recommend the Justin Warner cookbook, as well as the America’s Test Kitchen cookbooks. I anticipate getting many years of use from it, and have joined some Facebook groups dedicated to it and the sharing of recipes. It is not a cheap machine, but I bet you’ll find it inspires you too, once you take the plunge and begin using it. It can be daunting at first, but certainly worth the time you’ll spend on the learning curve. ... show more

  • Died Before Its Time
Style: New
The Ninja OP305 lasted only 39 months before the fatal Err8 appeared on the display. Unacceptable, especially considering the light service that it saw. My wife liked to air fry function, but the pressure cooker function never worked properly. It just wouldn't pressure. As for my take, I thought it was an ugly addition to our kitchen counter. We replaced it this week with a Philips air fryer. We'll see how it goes. ... show more

  • GREAT cooker, but I wish it had a larger capacity
Style: New
Would have given 5 stars, but for the money, I would like a larger area to place ribs and other meats so that when you use the crisping feature after pressure cooking, you can get all parts of the ribs, etc crispy. There's just not enough room unless you make very small batches. I also like to make larger meals for entertaining guests, and for leftovers so I don't have to cook as often. I would prefer a more oblong shape to the cooker as to spread the ribs out. That said, the cooker is very nice. I have made many recipes and they come out very good. The time to get to pressure is slower than advertised, but that might be the altitude in Colorado. Does anyone know if Ninja has, or plans on producing a larger version of this cooker? If they do have one, I would but it, and also keep the smaller one for small meals. ... show more

  • Easy and fast
Style: New
Got this on Great deal that i couldn't pass up. First time using it we made a roast in less than and 1.5 hours. Having to use the pressure lid while the regular lid is open is a bit bulky but it's heavy enough where it doesn't unbalance anything. Great purchase.

  • Excellent for post gastric bypass
Style: New
I had a gastric bypass 5 months ago and I've been looking for a quick way to pressure cook meat so they are soft enough for me to digest. The foodi is perfect! I can pressure cook the toughest of cuts for any soup and my tiny stomach is happy. And finishing off the soup in the Foodi with whatever veggies I want makes the whole process fast & clean up is so easy. I've even pressure cooked a tri tip & it turned out flavorful & not too tough for my stomach to handle. Very happy with my Foodi and would recommend it to any one who is planning to have the roux en y procedure. ... show more

  • Amazing and convenient!
Style: New
I love this!!! It does crisp nicely! I made onion rings and they were tasty and crispy! I have done chicken and salmon and the skin is gorgeous and crispy!! The pressure cooker is quick and convenient when I am in a hurry! I am still learning all the functions and possibilities, but so far this is awesome. I have done potatoes, for mashed and "fried." I had potatoes ready to mash in just a few minutes, even at high altitude. The french fries are crispy and delicious, but yes, they do lack that oil-fried "thing" that french fries have. But they are better than regular oven baked french fries. I recommend the Foodi. It cleans very easily, too. ... show more

  • The Ninji Foodie Is GREAT!
Style: New
I wasn't sure if it would be a good addition to my other appliances when I ordered it. As soon as it came in I started watching YouTube videos on recipes and everyone thinks its great! Once I started using it I can tell you IT IS GREAT! I never made spaghetti and meat sauce practically in one process, and came out ready to eat in about 25 mins. I make great rice! I made Chili it was great first time with dry beans! Fantastic! I could go on but I won't LOVE it!!!! ... show more

  • Ninja Foodies for ALL!!!
Style: New
I use this daily. I can have dinner ready in a flash. Frozen to tender! I use the pressure cooker more than I ever thought I would. It is a bit overwhelming at first and a bit intimidating but I jumped in and never looked back! I don't remember the last time I used my stove. Makes perfect bacon!!! Lived it so much I bought one for lake cabin. Would love to have one at work but it's a bit to costly for that. I literally have made every thing in my ninja. Every household should have one. Great for busy families and tired Mom's. Well worth the money! ... show more
