There are a lot of "user-error" reviews on this product, so I thought I'd jump in and help you with the potential purchase of this item. I've owned this set since September of 2015 and have had ZERO ISSUES with them. They are installed in place of my factory fog lights, and I use them solely for fog, rain, and off-road conditions. I've put them through mud, harsh rains, heavy fog, snow, ice, sleet, swarms of bugs, and intense heat (112+ degs F) in the Death Valley NP. Never have I had issues with these lights! Wiring is easy, and the brackets are very durable. The housing does not leak, nor does the weather seal around the frame/lens deteriorate over time. The light throw is wide, direct, and is equally as bright as one single LED light bar. When aimed correctly, can cover from bumper to over 50 yards in front before losing lumens. Does not blind drivers and yet still maintains a nice wash while driving. -- It still amazes me how well it cuts through fog and rain when driving on the freeway. When they are on, I can clearly see the painted lines and street signs while maintaining a safe distance behind other vehicles. I bought two more in early 2016 for another project, and will buy them again in the future. I'm guessing the poor comments about this product are a result of users not knowing how to install them correctly, how to wire them, or even use them as designed. If you can crimp two wires together and power them with a 12VDC source (or via a switch and relay as I have done), then you should have no problems installing and operating them. Heck, test them with a 9V battery and see for yourself how bright they are! Just imagine what 12V does! :-D Why spend $$$ for the same lights when you can buy these for under $15! Makes no sense to look elsewhere. *shrugs* Just sayin'. Anyways, thought I'd write my review here, which was my own and was not paid or promoted to do so. I just get so tired of "user-error" comments that dull the product's validity and I figured you (the reader/future buyer) needed a fresh perspective and a good positive review.     • Good for the price !
I got these lights about two months ago, but was an adventure. The item arrived on time after anticipating for the ordered to be filled. When arrived, the lights were well packaged and not damaged. The quality of these lights is much greater than I expected. After reading most of the reviews, I felt the need to take it apart and silicon the entire thing to prevent water from getting in. To my surprise, the entire assemblies were well sealed. On the glass and the sides with atleast a 3/16" gasket. Feeling like that would be sefficient I srewed it all back together and hoped for the best. It was $20, it it breaks, then I'll just buy another one. After looking in the box for a while trying to figure out how to mount them, I realized that the mounting brackets were not packaged with the lights to my dissapointment. That's why this is not a five star. After a few messages between the seller, I recived the bracket about a week later. The only thing about those were that they were used when I got them... About a month later, these lights are doing great! Right now in California we are seeing the biggest rain in 100 years and these little guys have absolutely no moisture inside them! These lights are great for the price and I would definitely recommend to a friend. I will do a review in 6 month to see how well they hold up! ... show more

    • John Deere X300 Weather Enclosure-Snow Blower Lighting
Lights came a day early. Mounted them on modified John Deere X300 weather enclosure - one front and one back. Thought I might have to add another to the front - will see, but appears good. Original tractor lights (two #1156 32 candlepower incandescents) were kind of dim. Swapped them out for brighter LED replacements, but still not bright enough (didn't expect them to be). Wanted to lower current draw to allow additional lights to be about the same as with the original incandescent lights. Added these lights which seem bright enough, but will know better when there's snow. Had to mount lights on side of enclosure to clear the garage door, but this should help them stay cooler, since the cooling fins run from side to side (improves convection cooling). Would be good if there was some kind of information shipped with the part or a data sheet available on line. Wires were RED and BLACK so I had to assume polarity. Assumed RED + and BLACK - which worked. FYI - the 1260LM (lumens) translates to about 100 candlepower compared to the 32 candlepower x two tractor headlights (64 total candlepower). I expect the location high on the cab to be a help while snow blowing. I have experience with Cree LEDs and expect good results with them. ... show more

    • Very nice set - good quality - bright LEDs!!
As many reviewers had said - these are bright and metal case = sturdy! Now, bright doesn't mean they are like the 36 inch flood (led) bars - there are only 6 leds in each light so set your expectations right. I mounted these on a bull bar for my Taco and they look nice and do the trick when I need extra light. Installation is easy, not much of instructions, but there is just a few bolts to screw. These are adjustable in all 3-axis - slide up, down and sideways plus vertical rotation. Make sure you tighten the bolt that holds the light centered to the fixture so they look nice. Mines were a little off-center, so it was as easy as grabbing an allen wrench (not included) loosen the screw at the base, center it and tighten again. Me and my 11 year old installed these in no time. IMPORTANT - these do NOT include a wiring harness. You will need it to connect them to your electrical system (relay and a switch). You can get this on Amazon or any auto store. Make sure you take this into account when buying if you have not done the wiring. ... show more
