I purchased both the ProStaff Model and the Monarch M5's. I own a pair of old Monarch's, and still love them. The prostaff model is a more affordable, but upon receipt the optics aren't even close...almost like a kid's version of the Monarch line. The Monarch's are 5X better than the ProStaff model (which I returned). Clarity, light, size, weight, build and smoothness of operation all better on the Monarch's.
