I LOVE this cooler!! It is the PERFECT option for a renter who doesn’t even have the option in their apartment for a water connection to their fridge. (Especially in a place like LA). I use the water cooler to make ice and then I transfer the ice to my fridge’s ice maker compartment in the freezer. I am then able to use my fridge to retrieve ice from the door. Pros: -good amount of ice made at a time (9 pieces) -ice is actually pretty solid. In other words, it won’t melt on you two seconds after putting in a drink -the machine isn’t loud at all. The only sound you really hear is when the machine is making ice and the ice “drops” into the storage area below, but it is by NO means a distraction of any kind. Cons: - I don’t mind having to press the button to initiate the ice-making option (because I wouldn’t want the machine continuously making ice if I already have enough made and in my freezer), but to have to press a button so that either the very cold or hot water dispenses isn’t ideal. If you are thirsty for a cold drink of water, you want it right then. You don’t want to have to press a button and wait minutes later for the water to be chilled. Previous water cooler I’ve owned in the past, the water was hot or cold instantly. There was no waiting. You simply went to the dispenser, made your choice, and got it. ... show more

I purchased this because our ice maker broke and we got tired of the water bottles. So far it has been great. It makes ice real quick and makes your drinks taste better, soda pops do not lose their fizz as quick, water temperatures are perfect. Definitely recommend. Great investment.

Loved it when we first got it. However, right after the 1 year mark, the ice maker stopped making ice, or made ice that melted. Don’t waste your money for something that will have to be repaired only after 1 year. I should have listened to the other reviewers who said the same. So disappointed. It’s a hassle. ... show more

I took one star off because the water isn't as cold as I'd like it to be, and because it had to sit a few days before it would make ice. I was getting ready to return it, but out of the blue it just started making the ice! It works well, and I'm happy with it! I love this dispenser so far. After reading reviews about leaking I waited to set up until I got a drip pan. Once set up, it did leak, but not a ton. I am an ice fanatic, and love the ice. I was pleasantly surprised at how long it actually kept the ice. After 2 weeks of use the leaking has stopped !

I wished I had bought this sooner! It works great. We love the ice. Now the whole family is drinking water. It takes the hot water several minutes to warm up but it is perfect for hot chocolate. Although it is quite noisy, the benefits far outweigh the noise! Buy this now!!

I moved into my camper and I needed something that did multiple things in one for a limited space and this has been a perfect fit. It makes ice very quickly the hot is perfect for tea and other things the cold is very cold save me a bunch of time and space.
