  • Fun!
I purchased the night vision binocular for my grandson. My son takes him camping and he is always a bit frightened to hear noise in the dark. This little device totally changed his fright into fun. Now he is seeking out the rustling bushes and night sounds. It is not professional grade but neither is the price. It’s just perfect for camping adventure with the kids. It’s got good charge. We have used up to 4 hours without recharging. You can take pictures and/or videos, it features zoom control and 7 levels of infrared light. Was very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Nice night vision device to take images/videos
This is indeed a night vision device. To list as binoculars or goggles as maybe you would expect is not really what they are. That doesn't mean they aren't a good product. This device is really like a camera in which you can view images day and night and capture images or video of what you see. So, they are not binoculars that have night vision. That said, they do a pretty good job of lightening up dark images with the Infrared setting. There are 7 levels of IR. You accomplish this by pressing on one of the 6 buttons on top of the device. There is certainly a learning curve on holding and pressing buttons, as you will use these to toggle between IR/Normal, and also to use a Zoom feature to see the image. Then you can press another button to capture the image you want. Most likely something in the dark that you lighten up with IR. This may seem a bit confusing, but its not with just a little bit of "hands-on" time. Overall, a really good product for night vision. I did not get a lot of time yet to try these, but I included an image comparison of normal vs. IR of some trees in my backyard. The directions are somewhat condensed, but you should be able to figure them out. On downloading images and video, you just simply connect to your PC with the supplied cable or any usb 'c' cable and your PC will show it similar to a camera, and you can find the images in the DCIM file and copy/paste to a file on your PC. I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 only because the directions were just little confusing/condensed, and also the IR setting has to be toggled all the way from 1 to 7 to adjust. There is no + or - , so just a little bit more button pressing. I can't speak to the battery life, but its easy to plug into a power adapter with the usb 'c' cable. ... show more

  • Amazing clarity and performance
I was really impressed with the quality of these night vision goggles. The 4K resolution gives a super clear and sharp image, even in complete darkness. I used them for wildlife watching and was able to see animals clearly from a long distance — the details were incredible! The build feels solid and durable, and the battery lasts much longer than I expected. The menu is easy to navigate, and the zoom feature works smoothly. If you enjoy camping, hiking, or exploring at night, this device is absolutely worth it. Great value for the price — highly recommended! ... show more

  • It's a toy, but a very neat toy.
I saw 'night vision' and jumped on this. Wasn't sure what to expect. Grey market Russian military gear this is not. It's a toy, but as a toy it's pretty neat and the night vision function works pretty well and is pretty cool. The item has a real toy feel to it- it feels hollow and light like there's not much inside, it's built to look like binoculars but you look through the 'glass' end and the eyepiece end is where the lens and infrared (IR) light are. The screen and interface look pretty basic but do what they say they're supposed to do. It can take pictures, record video and there is a step zoom (close - closer - closest, not a twist dial), and different levels if IR intensity as well. The buttons are big and clunky but they activate all the functions. The instructions aren't accurate, they say that there's a + magnify button and a - magnify button but in reality you push the magnify button and it goes close-closer-closest and back to close. The IR button does increase the brightness, 1-3 make brighter, 4-5 don't seem to do much and 6-7 add a little brightness but not a huge difference. One of the eye pieces does twist for focus, but it's a little awkward to hold, look and twist at the same time. Also the screen is small enough it wasn't always obvious to me that something was out of focus. But it does work as intended. Finally, for the night vision, it works surprisingly well. You will see a lot of detail in very dark areas. It works much better close up than at a distance, but really it is overall pretty impressive. This would be great if you live in a rural area and want to see what's going on it your all-dark back yard, or if you're camping at night and have a view and want to see what's out there. Also would be great if you lose power and need to see your way around the house. The eyepiece does shine a small red IR light out to what you're seeing, that is visible but it's very very small. Overall neat to play with and should you have a simple-ish use case for one this would probably do the trick. Pictures were taken after dark in a park during a full moon. Color pics are from a phone, the field you can see I think was done with a low light filter, the dark one was just a straight snapshot (w/out lowlight). The IR light is not that bright to the naked eye, it just shows up that way on a camera, which can pickup IR light. ... show more
