Description

The Superior Tactical PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular is a rugged, lightweight, multi-purpose night vision device that has repeatedly proven itself in combat. The PVS-14 design was originally commissioned by the United States Military to enable nighttime operations. This monocular is used globally in some of the most challenging environments. The PVS- 14 can be used as a handheld device, or mounted on the included head harness. The PVS- 14 monocular conforms to 810G Military standards, and is of the highest quality form and function. The PVS-14 monocular is a full-featured unit, weighing less than 12.4 ounces/ 0.32 kilograms. The unit includes manual gain control, an automatic bright light shut-off feature, and a built-in Infrared (IR) illuminator. The automatic brightness control ensures a consistent, steady image by automatically adjusting the visual in real time, based on the available light in the area. So glad I saved up for the gen 3 white phos. Its pitch black around me at night, with this I can see as far as I need to. In the photo i cant see past that fence even with the back porch light on .The skullcrusher and mount is worthless. Mount is a cheap plastic feeling material that bends and doesn't stay in one spot, the skullcrusher gave me an instant tension headache. But the unit, great. This is about the same or better than what I had while in the army except the white versus green is easier to see for me. It worked well at the range to id targets 50-100 meters away in almost pitch black under heavy canopy so im happy with it.

I've been researching for months, this comes with the data sheet. It's Chrystal clear, no burns or hot spots, this is really good deal in this market. 10 year warranty is nice too. Hopefully I'll never need it. So far so good.

Bought this night vision on the 19th two days ago spent 3200 roughly on it had it two days fell off the mount and fell into the water when I leaned over slightly to look in the water well out fishing early this morning the head mount had a little wobble to it but seemed to lock in well enough apparently not you sell a night vision for that price and make the mounting system as cheap as possible that's like buying a new car with used tired that blow driving your new car home I bought a new mount came in today that I can't use and same with the helmet anyone who buys this take my word DO NOT USE THIS AT ALL UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING BETTER TO MOUNT IT TO I will be calling Monday to see if your warranty cover for the faulty mounting system besides that the unit itself was great had 2 black spots but I was ok with that ... show more

This is the good stuff... Edit:Idk what to say I babied the hell out of this thing. Had it tied off to my headmount never dropped it or anything. Took it to the range and it was working fine for the first 30 or so rounds then just turned off unexpectedly. Not a scratch on it. I guess we'll see how good the warranty is. I'm kinda bummed because if I was actually in an engagement or something I'd be dead... -_- Edit edit: apparently the contacts for the pvs 14 suck from factory and need to be resoldered higher. I'm pretty sure this is what happened considering the circumstances. I would love to do it myself but I don't have a soldering iron here -_+. I can only imagine how many people died because of this. Edit edit: ST Support was awesome! I got my nod back in a few weeks everything working great ... show more
