  • Great for anemones
Size: 18 - 24 in
This is a very bright and great light to use for anemones. The directions aren't the best, but I manage to figure out how to set up the timer by playing around with it. I currently have a rose bubble tip anenome and it's doing great with these lights.

Lots of features for the price. Set up is easy. Puts out great light.

  • Good light
Size: 48 - 60 in
Using this as an addition to my Current led . Now my anenome is out and happy as are my soft corals. This light would work well alone for live rock and fish and possibly corals like Kenya tree and mushrooms. Excellent additional light without breaking the bank. The timer instructions are vague but if you play with it you'll figure it out ... show more
Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2025 by I tried to love this filter but couldn't stand the humming noise. I could hear it 20 feet away in my bedroom and I have hearing loss! I went back to my old cheap Aqua-tech which is extremely quiet and also self primes

  • Great Growth on Freshwater Tanks Too!
Size: 24 - 30 in
I initially bought this as a backup for my reef tank when I had a Fluval light. However, I later bought an AI Hydra 32HD and no longer needed this. I did end up setting up a freshwater tank and decided to use this. My plants love it and it is fairly bright and customizable for the price. You can control both the white and blue channels individually in 5% intervals and can customize the ramp up and ramp down time in intervals of 30 minutes. You can only select one ramp up and two ramp downs, with one being made for blue light night time viewing. Despite this, it is still an exceptional light and even my red cryptocorynes have become a deep shade of red, even without a dedicated red channel. I definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Great light
Size: 18 - 24 in
I bought this light as a budget light for my new 20 gallon nano reef tank. I have two other saltwater tanks with very expensive lights on them. In all honesty I’ve seen more growth on my coral in this small tank despite not doing any parameters. I’ve been very impressed with this light. The only downside is that if the power is cut off, you have to reset the clock. Programming is not too hard if you read the instructions. ... show more

  • I GIVE UP! Difficult to program, limited options.
Size: 30 - 36 in
This is an update to my earlier review. I contacted Nicrew regarding the difficulty that I had programming this light. They responded within about 16 hours. Fair enough. They provided me with a video demonstrating the programming process and steps. I placed my iPhone beside the controller and followed the steps illustrated. I did this repeatedly for about an hour. I have given up. I am usually very good at programming controllers such as this, but this one is beyond me. I looked further into reviews for this device and discovered that I am not the only one who has experienced this difficulty. I am going to throw this Nicrew marine aquarium light out. I will find a store locally and replace it with another light from another supplier that is NOT NICREW! I am extremely dissatisfied. The customer service was okay, about as much as could be expected from an online seller. There’s not much they can do with an inferior product. Previous review: I have had this light for about 7 weeks. It’s difficult to program, has limited capabilities and poor instructions. I have found that I can only really operate it in manual. Unlike the claims, it does not gradually ramp up or down like it is supposed to do. In only the on position are the lights bright enough for healthy coral growth. I would NOT recommend this light for an aquarium. I will try to find an alternative. ... show more

  • Makes my LPS corals very happy.
Size: 30 - 36 in
This light is absolutely great especially for the price. I bought this light in February and the only ones happier than me are my corals. I’ve been in and out of the aquarium hobby for over 20 years, and this is the best LED value price light I’ve ever used. It runs pretty cool, it is quiet no humming or anything, the control’s is intuitive. It has a ramp up and ramp down feature (F1) I believe they call it. You can set a timer for both blue and white channels. I set it for my blues to run 3 hours in the morning then blue and white for 8 hours then blue for 3 more hours. My fish and corals love it. My Frogspawn is growing and splitting into 4 heads, my hammer seems to grow daily, my zoanthids are multiplying and my bubble tip anemones are getting huge, although I do feed them. I would by this light again any day. One caveat. All my corals are in the top 12” of water, and they are softies or LPS which should be ok under less light than SPS. So I don’t think this light can handle SPS. But it certainly makes my LPS happy. I did just add an octospawn down about 18” and it’s doing ok but doesn’t seem as happy as those up on top. I’ve only had this one about 2 weeks so hurt is still out, and of course many factors are involved besides lighting. This is a beautiful light. Highly recommend. ... show more
