  • Worth the price
Size: 48 - 60 in
The light is phenomenal. Very easy to program. My saltwater tank is really amazing now. As the day goes by the light changes just as the sun does. Amazing light.

  • Illuminate Your Aquarium Brilliantly without Breaking the Bank
Size: 18 - 24 in
The NICREW ClassicLED Marine Aquarium Light is praised for its bright lighting, easy setup, and budget-friendly price. It features 445nm and 460nm blue, 10,000K white, and RGB LEDs, creating an ideal color combination for the saltwater environment. The light comes with a dual-channel timer to adjust the lighting spectrum, simulating a gradual sunrise and sunset. The product supports a variety of marine life, including saltwater fish, live rock, soft coral, and LPS corals. It's available in multiple sizes with extendable brackets, making it suitable for both rimless and framed aquariums. A glass or acrylic canopy is highly recommended to extend the life of the unit by preventing moisture from affecting it. Users noted the light's incredible brightness, with one commenting, "Everything in my tank is glowing." Another stated that the setup was straightforward and the light selection perfect. The product's timer function, though yet untested by some customers, is also viewed positively. Some users, however, mentioned that the light needs to be sealed to prevent moisture from getting in, and that if power goes out, the timer needs to be reset. But despite these minor inconveniences, most customers feel the product is worth the price. It's also worth noting that the product has been positively reviewed by customers outside the U.S., particularly in Canada. Canadian users found the product worth the price and praised its brightness and sunrise/sunset features. Overall, the NICREW ClassicLED Marine Aquarium Light is a highly recommended product for those looking for quality aquarium lighting at a reasonable price. UPDATE: lasted over two years before LEDs started to die on the left side. Im ordering another. ... show more

  • Power Supply died after 18 months
Size: 18 - 24 in
Late review - I have been happy with this light. The timer works well. There is not any kind of internal battery on the timer so if you lose power you lose the settings. However the main reason for this late review is the power supply gave up the ghost after a year and a half of use. I did replace it with out issue just thought it note worthy. ... show more

  • Excellent choice/Without the extreme price
Size: 48 - 60 in
This is excellent with beautiful night and day cycle. I will try to remember to update at a later date. Note: Pressing the stars for the review was difficult. I had to press them 1 at a time, instead of automatically just selecting my choice.

  • Makes my LPS corals very happy.
Size: 30 - 36 in
This light is absolutely great especially for the price. I bought this light in February and the only ones happier than me are my corals. I’ve been in and out of the aquarium hobby for over 20 years, and this is the best LED value price light I’ve ever used. It runs pretty cool, it is quiet no humming or anything, the control’s is intuitive. It has a ramp up and ramp down feature (F1) I believe they call it. You can set a timer for both blue and white channels. I set it for my blues to run 3 hours in the morning then blue and white for 8 hours then blue for 3 more hours. My fish and corals love it. My Frogspawn is growing and splitting into 4 heads, my hammer seems to grow daily, my zoanthids are multiplying and my bubble tip anemones are getting huge, although I do feed them. I would by this light again any day. One caveat. All my corals are in the top 12” of water, and they are softies or LPS which should be ok under less light than SPS. So I don’t think this light can handle SPS. But it certainly makes my LPS happy. I did just add an octospawn down about 18” and it’s doing ok but doesn’t seem as happy as those up on top. I’ve only had this one about 2 weeks so hurt is still out, and of course many factors are involved besides lighting. This is a beautiful light. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • I GIVE UP! Difficult to program, limited options.
Size: 30 - 36 in
This is an update to my earlier review. I contacted Nicrew regarding the difficulty that I had programming this light. They responded within about 16 hours. Fair enough. They provided me with a video demonstrating the programming process and steps. I placed my iPhone beside the controller and followed the steps illustrated. I did this repeatedly for about an hour. I have given up. I am usually very good at programming controllers such as this, but this one is beyond me. I looked further into reviews for this device and discovered that I am not the only one who has experienced this difficulty. I am going to throw this Nicrew marine aquarium light out. I will find a store locally and replace it with another light from another supplier that is NOT NICREW! I am extremely dissatisfied. The customer service was okay, about as much as could be expected from an online seller. There’s not much they can do with an inferior product. Previous review: I have had this light for about 7 weeks. It’s difficult to program, has limited capabilities and poor instructions. I have found that I can only really operate it in manual. Unlike the claims, it does not gradually ramp up or down like it is supposed to do. In only the on position are the lights bright enough for healthy coral growth. I would NOT recommend this light for an aquarium. I will try to find an alternative. ... show more

  • They’re “okay”
Size: 48 - 60 in
I ordered this light in late July for my 75g aquarium, and wanted to give it some time before leaving a review. There are definitely some pro’s and con’s that wish I would have known in the beginning. Pro’s: fairly simple to setup and understand. Very budget friendly pricing. They have a very low profile, light weight, and sit super close to the aquarium creating a more pleasing look. The sun up/down feature is really nice and soothing to watch. Ultra quiet and don’t give off much heat. Honestly, these would be great for someone just getting into the hobby that doesn’t want to put a large financial investment into lighting. Cons: for a saltwater aquarium they really aren’t all that bright. At first I thought they were, had a sudden algae bloom and realized they were set to 100% blue and white, but after adjusting the blue/white levels to 100% blue and 40% white the PAR levels these lights give off isn’t bright enough for most corals. Only about 95 at 4 inches below the surface. They aren’t waterproof, which makes no sense, so I would suggest putting some sealant around the edges to close things up and give the light the best chance at surviving salt buildup and the occasional splash. The biggest con is that after six months of operation, something caused the controls for blue/white to switch and now to adjust the blue spectrum I make changes to the white. This isn’t a good sign for quality and durability. If you’re doing a FOWLR aquarium these are definitely the way to go. If you have a reef tank in mind, want to house anemone’s, or have variety in your choices then look elsewhere. Already planning to replace in the near future. All in all these are just “okay” at best. Will they light up an aquarium? For sure. Will they support corals? Yes, but only very low PAR species such as certain encrusting LPS and they’ll have to be in the top half of the aquarium. Be sure to have a plan as to what you’re wanting to house to avoid unnecessary spending or not having the right levels for the right species. ... show more
