I have used so many MINI projectors since 2015 Year so far But what I do not understand is that of today why most of new debut mini projectors became so inconvenient to use compared to others before' For example, they don't support some audio files from USB storage, They do not have the subtitle choice function but English or lack of many apps such as Youtube etc, If you want to operate simple, you must hook up or add a notebook or computer separately and sometimes they do not have Zoon In & Out function etc So I do recommand you to check these things clearly before buying through my experience, I love XGIMI Brand for portable and cool + all inclusive variety functions for No worries. First, I'm very slow on tech, so I'm reviewing this from the perspective of someone who really knows nothing about projectors and what's available. Here's my impression after 5 weeks of use. I got this up and running very easily. It's simple to get set up and connected to wifi. I really like that once I was connected I could use the built in apps easily. Netflix, YouTube, and TikTok were all no brainers to get up and running. I added a Fire stick to the HDMI port and now have tons of choices for streaming. I wish the built in app store offered more, but there is a ton of stuff available from music to news to regular TV. It's not US market based, so there are a ton of options that I've never seen before, and lots of foreign stations/content available. I got the projector permanently mounted on the ceiling, and am a little disappointed that it doesn't seem to save my zoom and keystone settings between power cycles. Every time I power it up I have to adjust everything just slightly. I'd say the auto focus works good, but the other auto adjustments don't really work automatically. The picture quality is outstanding, and I've tried it from about 50" to 150" in picture size. I do wish it was a touch brighter. Not a deal breaker, and I'll still be able to watch my favorite teams in the daylight. The baseball game is streaming cable from the HDMI input, the football ad is using the built in YouTube app, and the picture in the dark is using the built in TikTok app. At night with the room fairly dark, movies are bright, crisp, and clear. The speakers are okay and have clear sound, but they are obviously small. They don't fill the room with big sound like you'd want with a movie, so I'm going to add a sound bar and will be testing the bluetooth capability when it arrives. Overall I'm impressed, and think this projector is a good value for it's price point. There are a few kinks that I think could be worked out with a firmwear update, but I'm happy and very excited for football season to get here.

First off I'd like to say that this projector is outstanding!! Great picture, easy to use, good focus and sound quality!! I love how convenient it is as well as versatile. Has a cool tech appearance and looks absolutely amazing on my 120 inch screen. I have one other projector that I like alot as well but this one blows that one out the water! IMHO get it at half price now while it's on sale. You won't regret it I assure you! Excellent value for the price as it is but at that sale price it's a steal.

I got this to replace one of those small sub-$100 720p projectors I purchased a while back for backyard / camping movies and gaming. Those little projectors are great, especially for occasional use, but I wanted an upgrade. This projector is mostly great. It's much brighter than my old one, though one shouldn't expect to run this outside in broad daylight. The auto focus and keystone are work really well. The unit reliably focuses within seconds of being put in front of a screen. While I haven't used them just yet, the inclusion of Netflix, YouTube and Prime is also a nice perk. What I HAVE been doing is running movies off of a thumb drive, mostly successfully. I usually use MKV files and, for the most part, they run well. I have had one or two that wouldn't run at all or would run sans sound. Honestly, it's not much of a detraction as lots of devices can reject files depending on how they're encoded. I found out the hard way it won't read anything from external hard drives though, which is fine.. I'm okay with using a thumb drive, but the added flexibility would have been nice. The sound is serviceable. I much prefer to connect a beefier speaker to it via 3.5mm cable but it's not bad in a pinch. I haven't tried any using Bluetooth with it so I can't really speak to that end. Now, onto the bad... on the third use of the projector, one of the USB ports broke. I pulled my thumb drive out and it came out with part of the port stuck in it. I've never had this happen using this drive (I've had it since 2018) or with any other device. I'm extremely disappointed about that as the unit is new and I'm down to one usable port. Perhaps I'll hear from the manufacturer / vendor but unless that's resolved I can't, in good conscience, give this the 5 stars it would've otherwise gotten. So, 3 it is.
