Great, frothy rich coffee. Pods are convenient and there are hacks on YouTube on how to save pods and reuse with the coffee of your choice. Pods have a barcode telling the machine on how much water and steam to add. Coffee has adequate foam even without using frother. Beware of the metal reusable pods. I’ve read where they can harm your machine from too much built up pressure. The separate frother is fabulous. It’s quiet, fast and HEATED. Nothing more annoying than cooling coffee with cool froth. Machine is streamlined and attractive and not too big for counter. Beats the ninja brand coffee machine which makes weak coffee.

I had been holding off for years as a Nespresso Original Line customer, going through many models compatible with that version. Now I realize it was a mistake to not upgrade sooner. I did extensive research on which Vertuo model to get, and this one tipped the scales hard. Specifically this exact one I’m reviewing, with the larger water tank, bigger used capsule container, and the included milk frother. I did not want a smart appliance version like the other model had, which is a plus for me. The automatic door opening/closing perfectly seals and latches onto the capsule, no coffee grinds leaking, it just makes a perfect shot every time. It’s also quieter than other models, which won’t wake anyone up when brewing a cup. I also was surprised at how useful the milk frother was, I ended up using it almost every day for hot or cold foam. At first I didn’t know what the cold foam mode would produce, but it was exceptionally good! I feel like I am making better drinks at home than my local coffee shops now, so while pods are more expensive, it’s cheaper than going out every time. My only complaint is that sometimes the pods don’t automatically fall into the container, but the automatic door is smart enough not to close if that happens and happily doesn’t ruin a pod in the process! Just gently push the used pod and it will fall. The thought that went into the design of this model is very impressive.

I bought this Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe coffee/espresso machine as a gift for my husband because he has always loved coffee from this machine, but we currently own a Keurig. This coffee/espresso is HANDS DOWN the best tasting that I've ever had from a home coffee maker. It looks nice in my kitchen, the water tank is easy to fill and clean, is easy to use, and makes delicious strong coffee. I also like that the disposable cups automatically discard into the machine so you don't have to throw them away individually (something that I didn't even realize was annoying about my Keurig). It comes with a variety of coffee/espresso to sample, and a milk frother for cappuccinos or lates. I was a little confused initially because I would push the button to brew it and nothing would happen. But my husband has no issues with it (he actually took the time to figure out how to use it, I didn't bother so this is probably just a me problem). But otherwise, I have no complaints. Overall, if you are in the market for a new coffee maker and like the option of brewing espresso, I definitely recommend this machine! I hope this review was helpful!
