Why did you pick this product vs others?: I met with a Nespresso rep at a Williams Sonoma store and ended up buying the same model through Amazon after I came home. It’s the best purchase decision I’ve made in years. I stopped drinking coffee for about 6 months because I was very discouraged with my Keurig. No matter how many times I cleaned it, switched coffee brands, or tried different creamers, the coffee never tasted like a good cup from a coffee shop. The Nespresso has changed everything. The coffee itself is outstanding. I’ve tried ten different varieties and every single one has been amazing. The coffee machine itself is a breeze and very easy to use. Not sure why Amazon shows this model as frequently returned. That has to be untrue. This model gets great reviews everywhere I look. Go to the Nespresso website if you want to read more about each model. You can even compare models there. And do your research if you don’t understand why coffee brews at a certain temp. You can always make it hotter by preheating your cup, warming your milk, etc. I’m one who used to love sipping a boiling cup of coffee over the space of half an hour, but that is part of the problem why my coffee never tasted good. And be sure you buy the Virtuo, it has lots of great features that the original machines do not.

The machine is compact and does what it says on the box. It is a little noisier than my last Vertuo plus and a little more manual as you have to push the lid closed manually, rather than it automatically closing. Also the one I bought AND the replacement one I bought both came without the advertised 12 sample pods. It even shows a picture of 'what's included in the box' with the sample pack - but neither one of my orders had that pack in the box.
