I previously owned the Vertuo Next and the lid was so difficult. The new Vertuo Plus I just received is so simple, and the water dispenser is larger. The coffee is much hotter. I am so happy!!

    • It's my second Nespresso Vertuo Plus machine in six years
The first machine started to develop a mild leak after six years of daily use. Repairs would have been almost as expensive as a new one. So I ordered an identical one and am very happy with it. It works well, the coffee is mostly good to excellent. The biggest drawback are the relatively expensive capsules. And don't compare it to the Keurig stuff. Good espresso and other coffee. I've had the machine for about three weeks, and I've run a bunch of pods through it, and it was all good. The coffee comes out nice and frothy and has an excellent taste. I ordered some pumpkin spice pods, and they were great. Also, got a small hand-held milk frother, and the frothy milk increased the umami by about 50%. A great cup of coffee for and frothy milk, the perfect picker-upper. ... show more

So far I haven't enjoyed how easy this machine is. It has one button. It automatically reads the cup barcode and will brew accordingly. Easy to set up, remove plastic, fill with water, run the first clean cycle and it's good to go. Hardest part so far is deciding what coffee to order. The descriptions for some of the pods also don't make sense, such as the one that says for milk? So I have to add milk after? Just unsure how to make that pod so far. Espresso taste better then their brewed coffee. I still prefer pour over or French press over using the machine to make a normal cup. 5 stars because it does exactly what it was marketed for with no hiccups so far. ... show more

    • Unreliable and overpriced
After owning this machine for 3 months, the light on the machine turned red/green. I researched this and found it is a descaling warning, that the system needs to run a descaling cycle soon or it will stop making coffee. I bought the official Nespresso descaler mix because I found they use a specific acid, and third party descalers may have higher acidity and damage the seals in the machine. After running the descaling mode, the light was still on. I saw many people have this problem and the solution was to run the cycle again, and then run a rinse cycle, and make sure you exit the descaling mode before the machine goes to sleep to clear it. It didn't work. I tried another descaling with the other packet I had, and then ran another rinse cycle. It didn't work. Calling Nespresso support, they told me to run another descaling cycle. I told them I've already run two and if it needs more than 2 packets every 3 months, I'm not interested in continuing to use this product. They said there was no way to get it out of descaling mode and I'd just need to keep running the descaling cycle until it turns off. I'm outside of my return window, so I'll be throwing the machine away and getting a different machine. ... show more

    • Amazing Crema and depth of Flavor
I love the coffee this machine produces. I have enjoyed the consistent crema and depth of flavor for the last several months. I would only recommend the DeLonghi Nespresso which produces the best results of the 2 manufactures for Nespresso brand vertuo. I hope that in the future that DeLonghi will offer an all stainless steel model for the vertuo line. ... show more
