This is the easiest way to get coffee in the morning when you want a cup ASAP with no fuss. No more coffee filters to wash, spent grains to get rid of, no coffee pot to wash. What a pleasure. No it is not the same as my pour over but it is fast, convenient, fun and there is a tasty variety of coffee to choose from. I order pods from the Nespresso app and it is delivered to my door within 2 days. Coffee temp is just warm, not steaming. The pods make a variety of cup sizes ranging from expresso shot size to a carafe size, and the machine reads the pod to automatically adjust water volume accordingly. I like that the spent pods are recyclable and you get a postage prepaid, sealable recycle bag free everytime you order coffee from Nespresso. Just drop the full bag at a UPS store. Nespresso also sells a slim, hard case container made to hold the bag so it will look tidy. Its like a small, sleek trashcan for the spent pods. Costs 20 something dollars. I have mine bedside at the moment so getting coffee while warmly in bed is a nice option with the smaller machine footprint. It is a little loud but not ridiculously so. Just keep the water tank full and every morning pop a capsule in, wait about 15 seconds for the light to stop blinking then press the button and you will have a cup of coffee in just a moment. ... show more

and you don’t get all that gritty nastiness at the bottom of the cup. it also leaves a nice foam at the top, most of which i scoop out, but part of the brewing process that makes the coffee taste so good. intense coffee flavors for (to me) anything above a 6. I tried melozio first and was hooked. Even when you put in a 1/2 cup of steamed milk, the coffee still tastes pretty intense instead of watered down, which is great. The pods are proprietary to nescafé, so you won’t be finding tons of pod brands out there like k-cups for keurig. They’re a little pricey, but much cheaper than starbucks every morning, so it made sense ... show more

UPDATED: This model develops significant sludge at the bottom of the used pod receptacle that drips out of the used pods. My old virtuo machine didn't have this problem, there was a fast spin cycle at the end of every brew that pulled all the water out of the pods. This machine dribbles out water at the end never really spin dries the pods. ALSO the water tank does NOT rotate. I recently tried moving the virtuo next to a smaller space and I realized that there is no way to rotate the water tank. I called amazon who sent me to the nespresso warranty department and they say that having a cup of sludge at the bottom of the used pod container is normal so there is nothing to fix. They claim that the rotating water tank on the amazon page is a mistake on amazon's part so they will not do anything about that either. I was pretty unsatisfied with the outcome, it was a very "buyer beware" experience. OLD REVIEW: This model does exactly the same thing as the previous model. It takes less counter width but more counter depth. The previous model was easier to close but I suppose this one is a little more idiot proof. Get whichever one is cheaper when you are ready to buy. The big thing about owning a virtuoline is the pods. They can cost over a dollar each and you can only get the stuff from nespresso (offered on amazon), we probably go through 750 pods a year making the cost of pods much higher than the cost of the machine. This makes it a lot more costly to operate than a keurig but it makes amuch better cup than keurig (which will takes like dirty dishwater after you get used to this). ... show more

When I got my first Vertuoline 6 or 7 years ago (which lasted a LONG time), I was disappointed in the espresso choices but thought the ones they did offer were decent. Now, 7 years later, they have vastly expanded the lines and size options for everything from a short espresso to an 18oz carafe (only able to be made on the new ‘next’ models). This new model also connects to WiFi for apparently firmware updates, although as of now there is no ‘remote control’ of the unit itself (e.g., programming it to make your coffee when you wake up so it’s already ready). But it works well, has a very solid design, and the chrome finish models look great in my mostly stainless steel kitchen. Good job by Nespresso and its manufacturing partners. ... show more

We love this machine! I bought this for my husband for Christmas because our son had one and he loved it. definitely not disappointed! warning though---your coffee consumption will increase so buy a reusable pod press and seals to save money. we only use ultra filtered water to help protect the machine. it is a bit noisy compared to a regular coffee maker but the coffee that is made is better by far than our chain or local coffee shop. expensive investment but great if you love coffee! ... show more

I love the Nespresso. I purchased it to replace a different coffeso machine , a Nescafe Dolce Gusto. I had purchased 3 of those machines. The first one just stopped working shortly after I received it. The next 2 leaked from day 1. The company was supposed to send me a return label and box. I never received them. The Nespresso produces a superior cream and richer taste. NO LEAKING. So far, so good. They also have many complementary items to make various coffee drinks. I am very pleased. ... show more
