We have a very large walk-in closet and I wanted to replace the light fixture. Showed my husband what I was thinking and he suggested an RGB light instead (this one). I said why not?!?! Install was pretty easy - the wires are not assigned a polarity so you can install either wire to the hot and the other to the neutral, without worrying about crossing the polarities, which make it even easier for someone without electricity knowledge/skill to quickly change over to this light. The app (SurpLife) has a Schedule feature so we have it set up to turn off when we're getting ready for bed, and turn on when our alarm clock goes off in the morning so we're not fumbling with switches in the dark. Yes this light works great. Probably just as well as the $80 at Home Depot. The light just replaces any ceiling or wall fixture mount light and can be controlled with the included remote control OR by the free app on iPhone. With the app you can create a ton of scenes. With the remote you can only switch from Warm/Bright White to the Four or Five main colors. Orange Red/Green/Blue/ Yellow. The brightness can also be adjusted to whichever light you choose with the remote. It is a simple Black/White/Green 120V AC connection. This is not a low voltage or 12V light. Simply remove ceiling light and remove wires and attach wires to this light and reattach to ceiling. ... show more

I just installed this light, and I am loving it. Besides the endless colors, dimmability, ease of installation and minimal footprint, it is controllable via Bluetooth, using my phone. so far so good, its easy to install. The remote does it all. then for extra, you can install that free app to your phone for extra convenience. Time will tell if this light will last a long time, otherwise as off this time its working and Im loving it.

1. Link them to the SurpLife app 2. In Home Assistant, under devices, click Add Integration, and search "Magic Home" 3. In SurpLife, check the device settings of one of the lights IP addresses, and add it to Magic Home. 4.
