I bought this machine three years ago to the month (yes I'm coming back to write a review three years later - hey, I've got lots of experience now) and I can say I still love this machine just as much as I loved it the first day I bought it. I've pretty much stopped going to Starbucks altogether, and believe me I went A LOT. The pods can be a bit pricey if you are used to brewing a typical pot of coffee at home, but if you used to spend money on latte's and iced mocha's etc., it's actually cheaper in comparison. I love the fact that I can make a cup of regular non-flavored coffee for my first cup and then for my second, I can brew a cup of chocolate or hazelnut for something different and I don't have to add any sugary crap to get some flavor. And can I say, I never knew I needed crema on the top of my coffee before, but apparently I did, because it's a nice touch to each sip. The double espresso pods have come in handy when I wake up early for a morning workout and don't want a big cup of coffee sloshing around in my stomach or the other end of the spectrum when I make an espresso martini. It hasn't all been glorious though..... for some reason for about a year, yes a YEAR, my descale light wouldn't shut off. No matter what I tried it stayed on, and yes, I descaled the machine etc., but for some reason the descale light gods showed up about 2 months ago and turned it off. It never effected the machine's capability to brew, but it did bug me to see that orange ring for whatever reason. The other bad thing, and it was a doozy each time: the shelf came off while the coffee was brewing. The first time it happened was with my Starbucks city mug I had got in Ireland (let's just say I was very sad and have learned to stop using mugs that mean something to me) and then just 3 days ago it happened again with another mug. This time, coffee went EVERY WEHRE. So take it from me, either keep an eagle eye on the cup or just really, really, really check that shelf and make sure it's on there securely. Other than those two things, it has been an amazing purchase that I have not regretted at all and always highly recommend to all of my friends and well, even strangers if I happen to hear them asking about coffee machines ;)

I can’t rave enough about the nespresso machine! For one, you can decide where the water tank goes. It can be on the right side as pictured. Directly behind. Or to the left. It’s easy to turn. The water tank has an impressive capacity. There is no max marking, only a min marking. However, because of the way you’d remove the tank, I wouldn’t recommend filling to the very top. Reading some reviews, leaking was an issue and recommendations were made to follow the instructions. Which say to tilt back and remove. So we follow that. So far we’ve had no issues and we use this twice a day. Soooo easy!! It’s got a quick warm up time too. Seeing as tho it’s holiday season, I’ve been making mine with egg nog using the 7oz cup pods. I pour about 1/4 ish cup of egg nog. I don’t stir it at all so I get a nice strong flavor at the beginning. I love this machine. It’s quiet, it’s easy and it makes an amazing cup of caffeinated deliciousness! EDIT: It’s 01/12/2020. Our machine has started leaking. Reading the reviews, it mentioned several customers who experienced leaking. We use our nespresso at minimum 3 times a day. Every day. I read the reviews which mentioned to make sure to read the manual—paying attention to how one takes off the reservoir. To tilt back first versus just pulling straight up. Our leaking comes out of the bottom. It makes a decent mess. Handling this went smoothly—unlike some reviews. Now, is it because we are within our amazon window?? We are definitely within the warranty period. Because it’s a leak, Amazon couldn’t help. But they were very helpful in referring me to Nespresso. My experience was Nespresso was equally helpful. They are open 24/7. They were kind and helpful. We tried to trouble shoot and do a factory reset. It still leaks. The rep said sometimes an inner seal is faulty and it’s an easy fix. We will be set a replacement. Does this deter me from recommending or loving the product??? Not at all. Defects happen, and Amazon and Nespresso were very helpful. I will post an update with the new machine.

I’ve had this Nespresso machine for over a year now and I do not regret buying it. This is such a nice splurge if you enjoy drinking coffee or making coffee creations. This machine is slightly bigger, so a bigger space may be needed. However, I love that it can makes all kinds of coffee sizes including espresso, double espresso, lungo and regular coffee. What I most appreciate from this machine is the brew speed. It takes about 10-15 seconds to warm up and brew. It’s amazing! It’s easy to operate, clean and have fun with. I have no complaints so far!

I love my new Nespresso machine. I did a lot of research in the different variations and settled on this as it checked more boxes on my wishlist than some of the others. I appreciate the various size coffee options this machine makes. It doesn’t do iced coffee which I’m okay with. It also doesn’t brew a carafe or the equivalent of a typical American sized travel mug which is a bit of a negative but not a deal breaker for me. The design of the machine is well thought out and offers a nice smallish footprint. I like that the water reservoir in the back has the ability to fold either left, right, or center giving better options on where it can be placed. I have been annoyed at the lid of the water reservoir as it is unnecessarily difficult to open so I added a small drawer knob to the lid (see photo). The machine is simple and sleek with a super clever lift function the the lid and only a single button needed to operate. There’s no maximum fill besides the physical capacity of the reservoir but be sure to keep at least a third of the tank filled with water so it doesn’t run dry when brewing. I do wish the small stand that your mug rests on was larger though! I have a double walled insulated glass mug and it hits the is die portion of the machine and the bottom edge of the mug rests on the edge of the tiny stand. It’s a bit inconvenient! With the vast selection of coffee options on the Nespresso site you’re sure to find blends to suit your style. Add a countertop milk frothier to the mix and you will save tons of money by not going to your local overpriced brew house. I absolutely love my machine! As I truly feel that user reviews are the best way to gauge a product before you buy, I hope you've found this review helpful. Cheers!

I’ve wanted one of these for a while and after a lot of research this is what I landed on. I am not a coffee snob in anyway, but the filtered drip coffee was just not doing it anymore. I love that this does mugs for a quick fix and espresso shots for a homemade latte. It is easy to use and the machine reads what pod you’re using-I don’t even think you actually have to push the button after putting a pod in. I also like the fancy automatic lift and close of the machine when putting the pod in. The water tank is easy to remove and fill and the platform for mugs is adjustable. It makes coffee real quick and the taste is great! I also enjoyed the sample pack that came with it. I still have to dive into the deep world of flavors and options nespresso offers but for now basic pods are hitting the spot and the machine is working lovely. I think the price point is reasonable. It makes good coffee efficiently for a simple person.

This is my second Nespresso replacing one several years old. Pre-purchase didn’t notice it had the smaller reservoir compared to my first one. Coffee is excellent with a good the crème on top. Many coffee choices. This is a pricey coffee maker and the pods have gone up a lot in price since my first purchase several years ago. I wished there were off brands of pods to purchase for this coffee maker. Have used the foil tops on used pods. Works ok but the coffee type and grind are very important to get a decent taste. When there are many house guests I use my conventional 10 cup maker due to the pod cost. Also it looks odd with the name Breville on the front of the cup support when the top front of the machine already says Nespresso. I used the Nespresso cup support from my old one as I found it more esthetically pleasing with a subtle branding on the unit. Really-what is the point of all that addition brand writing on a sleek looking product? Overall easy set up. Manual is straight forward. I enjoy the coffee and would recommend the coffee maker but with a larger reservoir.

I generally don’t write reviews, but I’m so impressed with this system I felt obliged. I, and it’s fair to assume the same of whoever is reading this, have spent countless dollars, hours of investigation and experiments in attempting to find the perfect machine for perfect at-home coffee. I’ve done it all over the years — percolators, pour overs, presses, k cups, fancy espresso machines, fancy standard makers…you name it, I’ve tried it. The best I’d found before Nespresso Veturo was a good press with a bottom filter and really taking your time “seeding” the granules with dollops of steaming hot water and laboriously dribbling the rest to maximize foam accumulation. It was time consuming and messy. This system surpasses even that…and all the years and attention to detail it took to get there. Now I simply pick my pod and press a button. I keep it bedside and don’t even have to put my robe on in the morning to enjoy what’s arguably BETTER than the best coffee espresso or coffee you can get anywhere. I would add one recommendation for those who want to “beat” the system. Don’t do it. If you want to save money, just use a different machine. Don’t look at this as a one-stop solution. The machine is definitely designed to work with the proprietary pods. They are sealed in such a way and the volume of grounds is calibrated with precision to give you predictable and amazing results. It appears as if the ad-hoc refilled pods will leak coffee grounds into the machine and clog it. Just my two cents, but why risk the functionality of this machine to save a few cents per cup? Just use your old pour over, single cup machine or press for saving money. If you’re on the fence, DEFINITELY buy this veturo. You will thank me later. The espresso lines and single source stuff seems to be the best. Tons of choices on the Nespresso website. You will be amazed with this very cool machine.

I absolutely love this coffee maker! I love the compact size and the adjustable water tank. It looks great on my coffee bar. It brews delicious coffee in no time. It’s so convenient to take along on trips in our camper.
