It took us a little while to figure out the best way to set it up so it wouldn’t fall, but once we figured it out (put more sand than you think in the bags-if not, a gust of wind will catch the shade and the bags will be dragged and the entire thing can collapse), it provided great shade and it was easy to set up and take down. It doesn’t weigh a lot, so it didn’t add a lot of weight to the millions of other things required for a beach trip. The material is easy to shake sand off of. The reason I took a star off is it has to be set up juuusst right or the next gust of wind collapses it and it took a while to figure it out. I was disappointed in the quality check from Amazon. I ordered a “used, very good”, which in description usually means just original packaging may not be there. Any thing I have ordered in the past with that description has arrived unused. This was obviously used as when we opened the package to check it out, it was sandy and it smelled like the ocean. It arrived packaged in a ups box, so I think it had been returned, packaged by ups and then never inspected by Amazon (the box had obviously not been opened). Please don’t be those people who order something, use it for a trip and then return it! ... show more

Pros: this is soooo lightweight and easy to carry in comparison to other tents. It stores in a bag that can be thrown over your shoulder. This will work with no wind as well which is a pro. Also I really like how you fill the bags with sand so it is sturdy. Also if it does fall down it just collapses and you are not chasing your umbrella down the beach worried about who it is taking down with it. Cons: If it is too windy it is nearly impossible to put up and falls, which can be frustrating. However, this has only happened to us once. It also only comes with two poles and I think to prevent this from happening you really need 4 poles. Overall a great alternative especially when you are already hauling a ton of stuff to the beach this is very easy to carry and takes up little room in the car. Will be purchasing additional poles for next summer for sure. ... show more

Easy assembly after you fully understand you need to out a lot and more sand to the bags (didi say put extra sand? YES DO IT!). Do not tight knots on the strings just fill bags and stretch as much as possible before putting the poles up. It held great it was a bit windy and the tent did not move. Great size (bought the neso grande) and the colors are beautiful. I did get the extra 2 poles for convenience and glad i did. Will keep it for all my future beach trips. Love it! ... show more

We have had our Neso Grande since 2021. We live near the beach and have used it frequently. It works great even in wind when put up correctly. The video is very helpful. The bag is the only thing that hasn’t held up and the bottom of the bag gave way. I called Neso 4 days ago and received a new replacement bag today. What great customer service. I love that is only about 9 lbs and so easy to get from the car to the beach. We have a scoop to fill the sandbags and we did buy 2 extra poles. You won’t be sorry if you buy this. . ... show more

Make sure you order the correct size. The first one I ordered was the size to put a dog under. Had to return, but ordered the correct size and we loved it! I love the color we picked and can spot our tent on the beach if we happen to walk away. Follow directions on how to set it up and you will have no problems. It has a little bag to put the tent and poles in. Don’t try folding the tent to get it in that small bag. It’s much easier to just stuff it in. ... show more

We purchased the Neso Grande Beach Tent. The poles and canopy are durable and lightweight. We purchased two extra poles to have four. It provided excellent shade for four people with chairs, tables, bags and a cooler. We had several people comment on our canopy compared to their bulky, heavy pop-up metal canopy. Most of those weigh 35 - 40 lbs with this neso at 8 lbs with four poles. All items can easily be placed back in the carry bag and does fit within a carry-on suitcase. The only negative aspect was the carry bag developed a hole within about a week of beach time. This works as long as you face it directly into the wind. If you're even five degrees out, it's a bit flappy and will likely collapse. Still, it's way less flappy than those ones designed to flap; those flappy ones that everyone else seems to have are unbearably flappy and loud. This is a decent system and you can hear people talk while you're under it or close by. Still, someone with one of those flappy ones is going to set up near you and you'll have to endure their flapping. It's just rude being that flappy. ... show more

We are beach people. We love long days by the beach, but we need good shade. We got it for our 2023 summer and love it more and more every time we set it up. Filling up the bags is easy and you just have to make sure you do the X shape with all 4 corners before putting the metal poles.
