For the price, this is a fine chair. It is comfortable, provides good lumbar support, and was straightforward to assemble. Two caveats to consider if you're looking to purchase: (1) if you have animals that shed in your house, skip the black chair and go with a lighter option ... this chair seems to attract pet hair like a magnet and is very difficult to vacuum due to the material AND this is the biggie (2) I was just working, using the chair and (as one does) used the armrests to pull myself up straight when - HOLY COW something sharp stabbed into the palm of my hand and left a nice gouge (see the attached picture, the "sharp" is located at about the bottom middle of the image). It appears to be a small wire of some sort, part of the construction I'm sure, but what a poor design! After leaving this review I plan to contact the manufacturer to alert them the design of the armrest needs to be reconsidered. I don't know of anyone who would appreciate being stabbed just for using their chair. EDIT: My contact with NeoChair customer service has been awesome, start to finish. I explained the issue with the chair arm, including pictures, and they sent a replacement set of arms to me ASAP. All along the way I was kept up-to-date on the status, including when the item shipped (they provided tracking information) up to when the item arrived. They even checked to ensure I'd received the item, asking if there was anything else I needed. They were very professional, prompt, attentive and apologized numerous times for the inconvenience. I'm updating my rating to 4 stars based on my experience with customer care alone. Even though there was a somewhat rocky start to the relationship I wouldn't hesitate to buy another chair from them.

It looks nice and clean, with soft padding and a great texture. It also feels stable. I appreciate how well all the tilting, height adjustment, and armrest movement functions are working. If you tries to find another chair with similar quality and feature, you would end up paying $150.
