It is really easy to setup. The shock arm isn't the nicest quality, but for the price it's really decent. It is not dynamic so it will be really sensitive, but with proper setup in windows or mac you can remove some background noises or if you have a RTX gpu you can use RTX Voice to remove background noise completely. ... show more

My Blue Snowball died and I was looking for an even cheaper replacement that was loud enough for voice and flute as I Skype and Zoom lessons. I have options that include AKG and MXL mics that cost over $200 and $100 each, but I wanted a USB mic that didn't need and addition phantom power preamp (of which I have two). I use my USB preamp mixer and my pricier mics for my twice-a-week Zoom concerts. Everything works great, but I wanted a plug and play simple no-hassle mic for lessons. So far, so good. I tested the mic and it works fine so far. Because it has a somewhat reduced frequency response I just got a Neewer NW 8000 USB mic. So I should be pretty well covered. Will report back if something is amiss and with more seasoned advice. So far, I'm quite surpised by the initial quality and relative cost/benefit ratio. ... show more

Okay, now I am SUPER experienced at being a beginner audio producer (LOL). I haven't plugged this thing in yet. But I'm telling you they must have had Ewoks building these things in trees to sell it for this price. This, cannot last. But DO reinforce the part that sticks into the clamp-mount - you can tell it's going to fatigue and break and people are reporting that. You only get one chance to do this - when you first get it. Go buy some putty steel epoxy and fill that entire tube, right up into the rectangular part. That will keep it from bending in the first place. If you want to do this like a pro (other than welding it) - go find a tube - any metal - that will fit inside that tube - it can be way too small but the closer the fit the better. Then epoxy OVER that one - make a steel-epoxy-steel sandwich. It will NEVER wear out. ... show more

Mic is VERY clear for a USB mic. It will catch sounds from your computer if it is 2 feet away. (I have my 3 fans on 100% (gaming PC)). Good quality mic for PUBG, GTA V, etc. I recommend putting your mic settings to 16 bit 48000Hz. It is defaulted at 41000Hz. It will make your noise sound poppy if you plug it in w/o adjusting settings. Mic arm can extend to about 3ft-4ft, best approx. Con: The adapter on the arm to the shock mount wouldn't turn straight down. It would turn crooked, making it strip. Please be careful with that. That happened to me. (Shown in picture). EDIT: 4 months down the line and the boom arm is failing. The part where you connect the arm to the desk mount is really bad. The metal is thin and will bend easily. You get what you pay for. Gonna go for a tripod stand instead. ... show more

This is a really good mic set, I especially love that this one come with a desk clamp, the other mic I have before this didn't include that. The quality of the mic is pretty good, definitely miles better than my laptop's mic which is why I wanted to get this. I want to try making videos for youtube with voice over work when showing baking recipes and a good mic set up is a must. I really love how l can adjust the stand so l can put it away when not in use. It wasn't hard to put the clamp on the edge of the table either, rather straight forward honestly. I like that l don't have to install any driver to be use it. All l need to do is plug it in and turn it on and it's all set. It all came packaged neatly and safely and I had no problems, I'm quite pleased with this mic set. ... show more

IF you are looking for a cheap upgrade and don't already own a more expensive Microphone. This one is great. Good entry point for streaming, web conferencing, general recording. Basically it's way better than nothing or a microphone built into a laptop or gaming headset (for the most part). Is it a sweet microphone you'll love if you are doing professional recording? I could rave about this microphone all day but to be brief, it's fantastic! People used to have so much trouble hearing my sound during skype calls for work, from the built in mic on my laptop, that I finally decided to buy an external one. I get the perfect and complete set up with the attachable clamp scissor arm. The audio has completely changed for better now that I'm using this. I can pair it with my laptop thanks to the usb plug in, I just have to change the default mic to this & I'm all set for voice calls as well as recording. The sound is condensed and isolated with the shock mount to protect my mic from falls as well as vibrations.
