This is exactly as advertised. Got it for my Insta360 to mount on a kayak and it works well. Also plan to use it for boat cruising - wrap around a handrail. It feels sturdy enough to carry a much larger full size camera. Adjusting the legs is easy and the detachable top allows me to add an extension pole between the tripod and the camera to elevate the camera to a more useful height.

I had bought a cheap little flexible tripod years ago, and thought this would be similar, which is a handy design for setting up a camera in tricky situations--but it's significantly larger (and therefore more sturdy), still compact and lightweight, and FAR better made. The parts are of excellent quality, and I'm very excited to start putting it to use.

Overall pretty solid. At least for holding phones. In a pinch it does hold my R7 with a lens (but I would only do so with a tilt up) but if you really had to... Only issue is that you can not turn the head to allow the notch (that allows vertical shooting) to face the way you want. You of course can turn the ball head around but I mean for tilting all the way to the side to shoot vertical. There are two notches directly opposite each other to choose from but if you have your legs set and want a notch to be say at 45 degrees from the current direction you are facing (change of comp.) you have to either turn the legs (re-adjustment) or slightly unscrew the the ball head from the legs to turn it a little...if you really had to... A rather unfortunate design miss. The phone holder (my main use) is conveniently "built- in" though and utilizes the spring clamp method well. The lock/unlock of the ball joint seems to do well. It's pretty tall but more slender than gorillapod's ball legs when closed (and no balls to pop out of joint) It has a bullseye level but that's covered when there is a camera on the base and if it's for the phone it's also useless as shooting a scene rarely has the horizon in the middle. Asking a ton but a L/R level would make more sense to level a horizon.

This tripod is great for all sorts of applications. The legs are bendable and stay on anything I've tried putting it on. Great for using your cellphone while hunting. You can easily wrap the legs around a tree limb or even the barrel of a gun.

This works really well for gripping into railings, poles, tripods and all sorts of weird surfaces. I am really happy with the durability. I keep thinking it will snap but hasn’t happened yet! Haha
