I purchased the K&F Concept T255A4+BH-28L tripod largely because I needed a more stable tripod that remained highly portable, while offering a good range of functions, especially the ability to do top-down shots. In this price range, this unit fit my needs the best. The build quality is quite good with a good use of aluminum in all of the locations that are under stress. This was one area that I had a strong focus on as in looking through a large number or tripods in this price range, I would occasionally see units that looked quite good but would have common complaints of certain plastic parts breaking; this unit did not have those issues. While the tripod has been great to use these past few months, there is one issue that I knew in advance of purchasing (lack of a lever lock for the tripod legs), but accepted since there was no model offered that had the horizontal slider at 67inches or larger with the center column extension while also offering the level lock for the tripod legs. While this is overall a matter of preference, I personally prefer the lever lock because it makes it extremely quick to deploy the tripod to a reasonable height, as well as retract the legs when needed. The twist locks simply take longer to loosen and tighten. While this is more of a jack of all trades type tripod, it does a good job in all of the areas it covers. While there are options that will do excellently in some of these areas, I am currently unable to find anything else that implements this full range of functions quite as well as this tripod has. Pros: Aluminum constructions, and no plastic used in stressed areas, thus offering a better chance at achieving a better longevity. Horizontal slider and pivot area uses aluminum of a decent thickness, thus it can support a DSLR as well as a heavy macro lens with no problem. Many cheaper ones where the center column has a thin pivot joint are often unable to support a camera and heavier lens if extended more than half way. While not as good as a fluid head, the horizontal panning function of the ball head mount is fairly smooth, with a very consistent amount of resistance. Cons: Depending on preference, twist locks instead of lever locks for the tripod legs. While the horizontal function is great, there is no way to slide it in and out smoothly, thus you cannot use the horizontal slider function as movement in video use. Conclusion: Ideally, I would like to rate it 4.5 to 4.6 stars as an overall score, as while it did very well for my needs, there are areas that could be improved.

I had recently purchased a small Manfrotto tripod but it was too light and moved around when trying to take long exposures so I needed something sturdier. The TM2515T was recommended to me by a friend and with the all metal construction I figured it would be a better choice. It comfortably holds up my Sony A7Rii along with the battery grip. The bag that the tripod comes in is very nice and protective, it also comes with a smaller soft pouch to protect the tripod head. The tripod itself is very sturdy and has simple, easy to use locking mechanisms that hold the head in place right where I need it to be. The legs can extend to a crazy height and even then it is extremely sturdy and it includes a hook on the bottom to attach weights to weigh it down for windy situations. The tripod also folds down tio be very compact which makes it easy to bring with me on trips. There are two separate ball joints that lock in place using twist knobs and two seperate swivel joints that can also be locked into place. This allows for a ton of movement so you can put the camera right where it needs to be. The swivel joints turn extremely smoothly and I figure that people who do video can use that to their advantage. What I love the most about this tripod is the detachable tripod leg which you can combine with the head to use as a monopod. I do a lot of motorsports photography and this feature is super handy when using it to capture subjects in motion. Overall I love the tripod and I don't see myself switching to anything else for a long time due to the versatility and stability that this provides.

This is everything it promises to be. Lightweight, comes with an very nice carry case. The ability to have the main rod lay out laterally for positioning a camera straight down on a subject is ingenious and the most useful feature, making food shots, unboxing videos and animations a breeze. Using this tripod with a remote shutter release is icing on a cake. One leg removes easily for a mono-pod and the ball head is one of the best I have ever used at this price point. The main rod can also be reversed for low to the ground shots, but I found getting this to easily be pulled out and replaced through the main adjustment tube can be tricky so it's important your not in a hurry to do this. Overall I could not have chosen a better tripod for my needs. I use a Lumix GH5s and this tripod easily supports it's weight and I would almost say the two are a match made in heaven.

I've had this tripod for four years now with a Sony A7 II. It works very well for a range of requirements and is an excellent value over all. However. My experience with macro photography with a Sony FE 90 mm F2.8 Macro lens proves the K & F Concept tripod to be difficult at times to make adjustments when realigning the field of view. This is mainly due to not so much as the weight of the lens, but rather the length of it. This amplifies the effect the weight of the camera through leverage, which then destabilizes the setup. You end up locking the camera in a certain position, then readjusting it several times to get the image you want. The camera will settle in a lower position than you want (or higher -- depends on the angle of view). I've only had experience with this tripod, so I don't know if that's the case with other tripods. I also have Sony 70–350mm and 200-600mm lenses. The 70-350 is similar in size to the 90mm macro lens, and exhibits the same characteristics. The 200-600mm lens has a bracket on it where I mount the camera/lens on the tripod using a quick release mounting plate. When you zoom in on a subject with that lens, stability becomes and issue. After making an adjustment on the camera, such as adding an f-stop or two, you have to wait a moment for it to stabilize. Otherwise you'll get a blurry picture. Another issue when using the 200-600mm zoom is even a breeze can destabilize your setup and lead to out of focus pictures. When using my 24-70mm zoom, I wouldn't notice this so much, but when you're amplifying the field of view with a larger zoom lens it becomes readily apparent what is happening. The 200-600mm zoom has a lot of surface area and is far more prone to wind/breeze than my other lenses. The gear I put on the tripod is under the maximum weight recommendation from K & F Concepts. I realize I've spent FAR more on my camera and gear than I have on a tripod, and this is a perfectly good tripod. But I'm at the point of which I see out of focus shots that should not be out of focus because of movement on the tripod. I use a wireless shutter release so it's not because of movement induced by touching the camera to release the shutter (as if there is a traditional SLR shutter on mirrorless cameras).

Once you’ve made the decision to move on past your first “$30” basic tripod there are sooooo many different choices / options - it can be hard to decide which one to choose from. This tripod is very light and portable and quick to set up, but most importantly, offers endless options for every imaginable shooting situation as far as angles / camera positions and what the tripod is standing on (even / un-even terrain, stairs, table tops etc) and is super good for low to the ground shots used in macro photography and some cinematic shots. Note: this is not a heavy, sturdy tripod which is what you’d want for study portrait/still/video work - if that’s what your after there are better options - this is a great on-the-go tripod option for your mobile photography needs.

I love this tripod. So versatile! Lately ive been buying more K&F products and time and after time my expectations are exceeded. the build quality is superb. The design is similar to other tripods where the legs fold out from the frame and are telescoping. The ball head looks good and the adjustments feel smooth. Max height 60” and folds down to 15”. Comes with a travel bag. One of my favorite features is the swing arm that allows for overhead product shots. It works best when legs are fully extended otherwise it might tip over if your camera is heavy. This tripod also has the ability to turn into a monopod if you ever have a need to use it. For my purposes, ill be using it primary for overhead product shots for my blog. Super happy with my purchase!

Appreciated that even with international shipping disruptions, the tripod was delivered before the estimated date of delivery at a reasonable cost. It's a good, solid budget tripod that will allow me to easily do tp down shots of my workspace using a lightweight camea such as the Sony ZV-1/ZV-E10 combo or with sensible lens combo, the Canon SL2/SL3 at a pinch. The horizonal arm length could be another 6-12"/15-30cm longer ideally and a counterbalance weight option would be nice. But at the price it's an excellent starting point. Brreakdown and transport is a breeze, this tripod is extremely compact and while it's not CF, it is easily protable especially with the included carry bag. I will be using this primarily for indoor video and photography so it's more than sturdy enough for the lightweight cameras and lenses I use. Recommended
