Description

The Airflow 3000 serger can do more than your standard sewing machine. The Airflow 3000 can both cut and finish seams in one fluid pass with professional results. The Airflow 3000 gets its name from its innovative air threading technology. To thread your machine simply insert your thread into the the threading port and press the button; the Airflow will use a blast of air to retrieve your thread and do the threading for you. The Airflow maintains a consistent and professional stitch quality at a speed of up to 1,300 stitches per minute. Create amazing finishing touches with flatlock, overlock, and rolled hem stitches across a wide variety of specialty materials like fine kits and stretchy fabrics that can feel impossible on a standard sewing machine. The Airflow's differential feed dogs are the key to custom lettuce edge finishes on the toughest of materials. The Airflow has a Differential Feed Ratio of 0.7mm to 2.0mm for pro level results that can't be made on other sewing machines. Fine knits? Stretchy fabrics? No problem! The Airflow 3000 can tackle difficult to work with fabrics that can feel impossible on a standard sewing machine. The Airflow is equipped with plenty of high-quality LED lights in the work area so you can see what you're doing. No more eye straining and squinting; see clearly with the Airflow 3000. The Airflow has 2 built-in quick change levers. The first allows for easy switching to the rolled hemstitch feature. The second will activate and deactivate the cutting knife before the edge is wrapped with thread. The Airflow also has built-in safety sensors. If the the presser foot is raised or the front cover is open, the machine will not start and the error LED light will turn on to let you know something's wrong. Due to the Airflow's jet-air threading technology, internal fluff and lint build-up that could clog up the machine is kept to a minimum. The Airflow also comes with a Gathering Foot, a Blind Stitch Foot, a Piping Foot, and a Trim Trap.

  • The Brother Airflow 3000 is a beautiful solid serger.
Love love love the air threading and ease of threading the needle's! It’s bigger than my Brother Designio DZ1234 serger but they both work great. For the size of this Brother Airflow 3000 it is smoother and quieter than my smaller one. I am happy that I purchased this Brother Airflow 3000 serger and love using it. I repeat the Name and model because I have noticed some reviews do not state what the review is about and can easily be used on other reviews that have nothing to do with the product you are researching. I hope this helps someone especially with a product that is at this price point. It is a good solid machine that I feel confident will perform and run for many years as my other Brother sewing and embroidery machines do. I have had no problems with any of my Brother machines and I have had them since 2010. Seven machines in all and I used them all for various tasks and locations. ... show more

  • easily gets disabled
This machine stitches beautifully but the pipes to air thread get clogged and need to go to be repaired professionally. I've spent $500 on this; having it done twice. Manual instructions are limited. I don't reccomend this machine unless you are a machine mechanic.

  • So far, so good...
Recently had another (more expensive) brand of air-threading serger fail immediately after warranty expired. ☹️ I use my serger nearly every day. Thus far, this Brother model is performing well: easy to thread; stable, consistent stitches; differential feed works well on knits, denim & a variety of other fabrics; easily accessible for cleaning & maintenance & relatively quiet operation. ... show more

  • Spent more time in the shop than serging
I have owned this serger almost one year and it has been in the repair shop more than it’s been in my sewing room. I love the air threading but that’s where my love stops. This machine has skipped stitches or uneven stitches on any type of fabric. I have followed all the trouble shooting advice on Brothers website and when that didn’t work I took it in for a cleaning and repair. I received it back and again broken, skipped or pulled stitches. Took it back in they checked it again and after sewing two seams the same problems occurring. Too late to return so tomorrow I will try the manufacturer but yup not happy at all. ... show more

  • Defective machine
Just took mine out of box... Watched a video on how to thread the machine. Great video! I'm having trouble getting it treaded only on one side Watched another great video and found my problem. So, when you line up the hand wheel and it clicks the two metal parts inside machine doesn't line up therefore the thread cannot go thru...Love videos...returning because its defective.... I'm a little disappointed. Hopefully the next one will work ... show more
