both my knees are shot and surgery isn't an option at this time. i had used similar supports in the past but misplaced one of them. since my knees are worse now i thought based on the product description these might be more effective. first off if you get these it's better to go a bit larger than smaller for sizing. it's difficult to see in person but one end has a slightly larger diameter than the other end. the bigger sized end fits above the knee, goes on top so to speak. they fit well and are comfortable considering what they do. the only thing I've difficulty with is bending low, say to pick up things at floor level. they provide good lateral support, which is precisely what i needed from them. the metal hinges as such function as hoped for. the only negatives are for one, i cannot wear mine with pants only shorts. secondly if doing anything for example mowing the grass, and you sweat? they act like sponges and get surprisingly wet. yesterday i wore them with shorts on while doing yard work. after i had to lay them out overnight to dry before putting them back on. aside from the two minor issues i am happy with how these have worked out for me. i would probably get them again if say i lost one again. that said the ones i had before these also had metal hinges/slats but cost less than half what these did. while these are a bit better imho than those, whether or not the additional $30 each is worth depends on the individual making the purchase & their needs and or budget restrictions. ... show more

Tried this on the same day I received it (last night) and loved it for the support it provided. Because I didn’t receive it until after 7 pm, I only had it on for a few minutes before taking it right back off. When I went to put it on this morning, I noticed that the seam around the top of the knee hole was torn and the foam padding was starting to push through. I have already requested a replacement and am returning this one. Hopefully the replacement will not have the same deficiency. UPDATE: Seller had the replacement brace to me the SAME DAY and it does not have the same problem with the seam. I tore my a couple ligaments and needed a brace to help stabilize my knee and alleviate some pain, this did the trick. It doesn’t mean it was perfect, the fabric still gets really hot and makes the brace hard to get off which anyone that has a knee issue will know it can be painful, and the bottom x-strap could use a little more velcro area to attach the top x to. I don’t want to lose focus on the important part though, this stabilized my knee from the side to side motion but allowed me to bend it and that’s what I really needed. ... show more

I injured my LCL & could barely put weight on my left knee. I have a soft brace I was using but that didn't give me the security & stability I needed. So I ordered this NEENCA Professional Knee Brace & was amazed the minute I put it on. I've worn it religiously all day for a couple of weeks. Even take my dog for walks, went fly fishing the other day & going fly fishing for Salmon this weekend. Fantastic support & range of motion. Perfect fit too; sturdy yet soft on the inside that is against your knee & leg. This brace even fits nicely & comfortably inside my fly fishing waders. With any LCL, MCL, ACL injury its paramount to keep knee stable, supported & keep proper range of motion for weeks with support in order to avoid re-injury and help rebuild ligaments. This brace is just perfect in every sense. My knee feels way better already after two weeks, but will keep wearing it for some time to come, especially in all my outdoor escapades for sure. I am very pleased with this product, especially it's comfort. This brace is a sleeve slip-on and is very comfortable, not pinching like other strap-on braces can. This is also easier for me to put on than the strap on braces. The stability is good and the support is great. If you need great stability, then you probably need a custom brace. I have a 30 year old ACL surgery that has loosened up some through the years, so this works well for me giving me some added support. And NEENCA's customer service was excellent. My first brace fit tight on me. I was on the high size range of a large, but it was tight. NEENCA gave me an exchange free of charge and it fits great. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

I've purchased many knee braces of similar design in the past, but was never satisfied with a comfortable fit for wearability throughout the day. The brace holds up very well, it’s a heavier brace because the material is of great thickness. You really get the support you need. It is a little wider so finding pants to go over the wide brace can be a challenge. Where the metal brace is on the sides have a tendency to dig into the skin so I use padded gauze pad to avoid and rubbing. The support is fantastic though ... show more
