I’ve been sleeping in this mattress for several weeks now so I can offer my assessment. This replaced a very inexpensive mattress that was horrible to sleep on. This mattress is a huge improvement. I like the hybrid style and it seems firm enough that it offers good support and soft enough that I don’t wake up sore. While this is a good mattress, if I were to do it all again, I would spring for the pillow top version. Still, I am pleased with this mattress.

What a disaster the Nectar Mattress buy has been. I have had it for six months; I usually travel on Weekends, so it doesn't get used much either. I went a couple of weeks away from home recently for Christmas break, where I had to sleep on my camping mat. All those times, I hadn't had back pain. I got home, and I thought I would have the best sleep at home. The next day, I woke up with excruciating back pain, and the next day, I had to sleep on my belly on my mattress. I didn't have this kind of constant back pain; I bought this mattress thinking $900 might give me fantastic sleep, but now I'm sleeping on my camping mat $20, and it is ten times better than a Piece of S... Nectar Mattress. Why was there no review before? I slept well for a couple of weeks; then, I started to sink on one side, so I switched sides and slept well for a couple of weeks. Then, I changed my sleeping direction, again switching sides. Now, all the spots in the mattress are garbage, and 99.99 % of the time, I wake up in back pain.

I bought the 12" version of this mattress a little over a month ago and am enjoying it. I would definitely say it's on the firm side of medium. There is a thin layer of very soft foam, but there is noticeable firmness underneath that layer. If you are looking for more softness, get the one with the thicker mattress. Unpacking was as expected. It unfolded normally and filled out with no wrinkles or noticeable odors. The sides do not compress much when I sit on them, so that is good as well. I'm curious about the longevity of the mattress, but at this price point, I can buy another when this one wears out. Definitely worth the money from my perspective.
