0 it does amplify the ambient sound (including noise) while Bluetooth isn't in use. However it stops amplifying whenever the Bluetooth is in use (ie, during a phonecall, audiobook OR any other sound from my phone), and there's a pause afterward before it resumes amplifying. (would prefer an option to mix, instead of always switching sources). 0 Amp's Noise Reduction isn't awesome, but is an improvement over disabled. + Nice battery life as Bluetooth headset. + Less costly than other bt headsets I've bought. Has been working well as earphones for weeks now.
