I got this on a whim after seeing an ad on social media for a similarly shaped neck pillow that helps correct the “hump” neck that office/desk workers can sometimes struggle with. I have noticed my neck protruding from the base for the last several years and had some pain, but only at work when I was looking down at my desk. I have not used this consistently enough to notice change, but it does help with pain relief. I do feel that my neck feels more comfortable after using this pillow. Only complaint I have is that the pillow has a very strong chemical smell that lasts for several weeks. I don't have a lot of neck and shoulder pain. I bought this to help realign my neck vertebrae. I sleep with my head propped up, so my head is tilted forward all night long. A lot more than just on a pillow or two. As a result, when I lie flat on my back on the floor, it takes me15-20 seconds before I can touch the back of my head to the floor. I think that is a bad thing. I bought this to help make my neck more flexible. It seems to be working a bit. When I first lay my neck on it, contact is in just a small area. After a few minutes my neck starts to conform to the shape and contact is increased. I should be doing more neck mobility exercises, but this is a helpful addition to those. We also bought one for our daughter who suffers from migraines. No report back from her, yet. ... show more

    • HELPFUL IN A DIFFERENT, BUT GOOD WAY!
I thoroughly researched all similar items listed here on Amazon & decided on this “blue wavy” device. I usually wait at least 6wks before giving a review, but felt I should do it sooner. I’ve had chronic back pain since I was a tween; when I was approx 23, dr diagnosed me having fibromyalgia. Back then, I’m now 56, I felt it was sort of a blanket diagnosis. I’ve dealt w/my pain, it’s just part of my daily life. I also get extreme leg cramps from my toes upward. All these can lead to my being literally immobilized, but only 20% of the time. I’ve been using this for 5 days. Although my pain has only subsided an extremely small amount, I was amazed at how much “stretch” this gave me. Before, I was unable to reach the very top of my pantry, even on my tippy toes. I’m 5’5.” Now, I’m excited to say, I can reach well beyond the top of my pantry. It has def given my back a good stretch, therefore alleviating the tightness I feel across my back. I plan to continue to using this tool and I haven’t received yet, but also ordered a really exotic looking contour pillow to sleep on at night.     • Amazing! Pain relief for my pinched nerve!
I was blown away by how much this helped relieve my pain! I thought this could, maybe, possibly help a little bit, but it turns out that this was the missing piece in my therapy program. I've had 2 whiplashes and a lifetime of bad posture that has been causing terrible tension headaches. I've been going to physical therapy, doing exercises and stretches, chiropractic adjustments, and have a variety of braces and pillows and after 2 years, I'm lucky if I can go a single week without a debilitating headache. Then I got this little do-dad. I really didn't expect much, but I figured it wasn't too much of an investment so I should give it a try. I layed on it for 10 min when I received it and my sinuses opened up, and the constant touch pain at the back of my head was no longer there. I've used it it every day for 10 minutes, and I haven't had a single crippling headache. I still have an occasional regular headache, but I have not needed to take the super migrain-level pain pills. For my situation, I had been trying to do everything possible for my recovery, but I just couldn't get the curve back into my cervical spine. After all my therapy, I still didn't know where to put my head when I stood or sat because nothing felt natural. This was the last little push I needed to get back to normalcy. Remember to follow the instructions and lift your arms up by your head to relax those shoulder-to-neck muscles so the vertebrae have the chance to fall back into place. It's not a dramatic change...no clicking or thunking of vertebrae falling back into place, but it definitely is placing the spine back into alignment. I wish I would have found this earlier. This is the only thing I’ve ever found that’s offered any relief from constant neck pain and tension. I’ve tried everything but 5-10 minutes laying on this forces your body to relax around it and leaves you feeling immensely better. Plus, it’s cheap. Do yourself a favor and buy it.

    • Help for my Pinched-Nerve in my Neck
UPDATE: Upgraded from 4-stars to 5-stars. The "little uncomfortable" experience went away after a few uses. I'm not sure if it is because my neck doesn't hurt as much, or if I have gotten accustomed to it. In either case, it is not uncomfortable at all anymore. Original Review: I have had neck problems for years. I have a pinched nerve that just never gets better. I was able to use a memory foam pillow for a couple of years, but I ended up waking up with a sore neck again, so I returned to a regular pillow. Then I saw these neck stretchers on Amazon. I decided to try this one and these things work. It does a good job of stretching my neck. I have to say, it is a little uncomfortable, but I don't know if it is just because I have a bad neck. The form is nice and dense and it has good give, but I can only stay on it for about five minutes. And I wish it came with more comprehensive instructions. It describes how you should position yourself, but it doesn't say how long you should do it. I guess that is up to the person using it. My husband tried it and it immediately cracked his neck - in a good way. When he moved his arms into the required position he could feel numbness in his arms, which went away after he stretched his neck for a while. Now he is using it too. ... show more
