This umbrella is not compatible with the anchor nor the hooks that Amazon tries to tell you are frequently purchased together. Do not buy them if buying this umbrella. The umbrella pole is too wide for the hooks. And the umbrella comes with an anchor permanently installed that has auger rings that are too wide for the additional heavy duty anchor sold separately ... show more

I bought two of these. I got three years out of my other two Nautica umbrellas and that is why I decided to purchase Nautica. I live on the beach and use these frequently. The new umbrella base has a T handle (like the old ones) for twisting into the sand. That handle broke on the very first use. The bag for that umbrella broke on the first use also. I am currently using the second one without incident, but have to treat it like glass. The stitching on the new bags and the T handles on these are not as sturdy or durable as on the previous models. The umbrella itself does not seem as durable either. I will not purchase another Nautica umbrella online and will likely move to another brand as soon as the second one breaks. ... show more

Lightweight, easy to transport, set up and put away. Have used in up to 12 mph winds, but wouldn't use higher than that. Have had it for a few months and I really like it.

Did not stand up to wind over 15mph. The screw in post could not support the umbrella with wind over 15mph. Needs stronger stays and less (6) instead of the 8 that it has. I observed this while at the beach, noticing the more substantial umbrellas we able to withstand higher winds
