Our center island is long and we have a large family but not enough seats so adding 2 of these kitchen bar stools was the solution. These are a durable wood frame, the fit really well under the counter, the look is modern chic and nuetral so it matches our weird wood color but absolutely looks fabulous against the granite that we just added in. The padding on the chairs is quite adequate, not too much not too little, and I love how when you sit on the stool you feel secure with the backing behind you (our other seats bar stools for the kitchen don't have backs so this is a big upgrade). The wood will be easy to clean and the material is tightly woven on the seats, I can not imagine it will be hard to clean up those normal milk spills the kid have when they are eating. As for the sturdiness, look at the base, these are solid, the have four legs, and a resting spot for feet, which is nice. My husband literally just got done putting these together together by himself in less than 20 minutes, it was more or less just screws. We will be getting more to replace our other stools. ... show more

These Nathan James Gracie Bar Stools are the perfect addition to our kitchen. They not only look great, but they're also surprisingly comfortable. The padded seat and supportive backrest make them perfect for sitting down and eating a meal or chatting with family/friends. Assembly was super easy-- I had both stools set up in under 30 minutes. The instructions were clear, and all parts were well-labeled. Functionally, they're perfect for everyday use and the height is just right for my counter. They also feel sturdy + well-made-- and the best part is that the fabric is easy to clean. The stools are barely acceptable. They look about how I expected, and aesthetics are the primary reason I bought them. The alignment is off a bit, so they wobble. I used felt pads on the feet to correct this issue. They are comfortable enough, but not something I’d sit in for a long time. I don’t think they are any nicer than stools half the price, so I regret choosing these. I bought a new pack of two stools. I received a parcel that had clearly been repackaged with blue painters tape over the manufacturer’s clear tape. All of the screws and washers were loose in the box, and some were missing. One of the seats had minor damage that I hope I can clean off. It seems like a waste to return this whole heavy box, so I’m going to try to make do with what I got. I’m pretty ticked off though, and I see no option to get support — other than to request a return. ... show more
