Been looking a long time for island stools for our kitchen, came across these and decided to try them, they are so nice, I don’t usually put things together like this, but I did it on my own, and it was easy. I like that they have a metal bar for her feet to be on instead of the wood, they are sturdy and well made. We have used them so many times. I like that the seat part is bigger than a regular stool, and it’s got a really nice style to it than a plain style, an extra nice thing is that you could either keep the pads on or take them off and very easy to clean great for our grandchildren. I bought 3 of these stools and have hardly used. My 10 year old daughter sits rarely on this and when she sat on the stool and placed her feet on the foot rest, it broke. I thought may be that 1 stool is defective. We had a guest come over and she also sat on the stool and set her foot on the rest and the other one broke too. It was quite embarassing. Though aesthetically the stool looks good, these are not relaible or strong. I would suggest you please buy something more stronger. I am planning to throw these stools to avoid any more such incidents. ... show more
