Thin and ligth retrofits, with adjustable color temperature. Work well with dimmers. I like it that the light is set back from the rim, so they do not cast quite as wide a beam as those where the rim is level with the light. No wiring box, these have an adapter that screws into an existing bulb socket. Given that these are strictly retrofits for an existing can, where you should have plenty of depth, the fact that they are so thin and lite does not really buy you anyting. The Rim is polyamide Good warranty, (7 years) . Some older style cans may not have spring brackets, you can buy those inexpensively. If that is your case, installing the brackets for the springs is the majority of the work you need to do. If you have the brackets on your cans already, these would go in quick and easy. When these wear out, they are said to dim, and the whole thing needs to be replaced, so buy a few extras to have the mathing look available for any replacement you need. They are inexpensive, so threat those as you would spare lightbulbs. In a few years, you may not be able to find the exact same thing, these companies come and go. ... show more

Looking at my cans versus other 6" cans, mine are different. Effectively, the "C" clips in the can that hold the springs are too close to the ceiling (on my cans), so that the springs have nothing to clamp against. Other cans have adjustable and/or higher "C" clips, but mine are much lower than some. I was able to make the springs work, but I re-bent the springs out and down to accommodate. ... show more

I tried to install them and ensure they are not leaving a gap but they have flimsy to make them stay. If you care about details, you might want to think about it. I’m not sure about the functionality of changing colors in f you can not access the non easily after installing. Otherwise they are ok. Revised review I realized I was installing them wrong. They are actually easy to install and they firmly fit in. I apologize for giving wrong impression. If you are looking to upgrade your old recessed lights, these are a good alternative. What I would have want to have though is more power efficient options. 13.5 watts per bulb of their lighting is alit at this age of efficient lighting. ... show more

Ordered because these lights were already in the house and had to replace a few when a storm came through. These lights were very easy to install, I believe it has three settings of how bright you want your lights or to match what you have in your house.
