I love that it tells me temperature in the room, so I know if my baby is too hot or cold, and the humidity, so I know if I should turn on the humidifier. I went with Nanit vs Owlet because Owlet had reviews about false alarms and skin breakdown. The swaddles are a bit challenging to put on but you get used to them. As a new Mom to a baby, having my baby outside of my proximity for extended amounts of time is hard. Coupled with all the risks you have to watch out for, like SIDS, having a peace of mind isn't reality for a while. We love nanit a lot - it helps us stay informed while our baby sleeps in the other room. It does it’s job, but the subscription fee is quite another expense if you consider the total price of the product. Pros: 1) accurate alert (little false alert for us so far) 2) our baby loves the waves sound that’s part of the music feature you can use to soothe your baby to sleep 3) the data tracking system is quite cool and useful for us Cons: 1) extra money you need to pay per year to use the features of the app 2) pixels are not as high as miku pro, so when we zoom in to see the baby’s face, it’s not very clear, especially at night 3) the way the app calculates the baby’s sleep efficiency is not very comprehensive (the way it counts day and night is quite arbitrary)/rigid, thus less accurate we haven’t had the need to use the breath tracking accessory cuz our baby doesn’t like to be swaddled/wrapped around Overall we are happy with the product ... show more

I absolutely LOVE the nanit, we use the wall mount at night for her bassinet & the travel mount for the crib naps she takes during the day. After several months of frustration because the camera would lose connection frequently requiring us to restart the camera and freezing video we finally bought the Nanit. It is so much better! The app always works. Camera does not lose connection. App can run in the background. Night vision is great. It has motion and sound alerts. Everything about it is good. I wasn't sure if I should bite the bullet and get a Nanit, but I'm very happy that I did! The picture quality is usually very good, the only time I've noticed it not be as great is when I use super patterned sheets. We haven't used the sheet that came with the Nanit because we are not concerned about tracking baby's growth, but the breathing band has been a great relief. Only one false alarm using the breathing band after months of use, and this will definitely help me sleep better when we move baby to their own room full time.
