This Nostepinne is okay, but the quality could be better. It is not finished as well as it could be. Mine arrived with slots/cracks in the handle which always catches on my yarn. Maybe the plain Nostepinne‘s are finished better than this multi-colored, layered wood. Might just have to pawn this off on a kid as a magic wand, Lol! 😝. ... show more

Super easy to use, you just have to get a pattern and rhythm down. I have to wind the yarn 🧶 counterclockwise. I bought 6 skeins of yarn at a shoppe that several customers and was told that it would be about a half hour before she could wind all of them into to center-feeding balls for me. I can wind a center pull pretty quick and neat using just my hands and fingers, and I was hoping this would allow me to wrap an even cleaner ball. But no, every attempt has been messier. I crochet, and I really like center pull yarn balls, so I watched a lot of youTube videos on how to use a nostepinne, and began making my own yarn balls.
