Be sure to wear some eye protection because inevitably some debris will be flying. The automatic line feed worked well. Every time the motor decelerates it lets out a little more line. You can tell when it needs more line because the motor RPM will noticeably increase. They include extra line to make this trimmer look like a good deal, but those extra spools aren’t a bonus - they’re a warning. The line breaks every 30 seconds, so you’re constantly stopping to replace it. It also tangles easily inside the spool, which makes the whole process even more tedious. I later saw other reviews mentioning the same issue, so this doesn’t seem like a one-off defect. On top of that, the unit stopped working entirely after about 35 days - just outside the return window, naturally. Save your money and your patience. This trimmer isn’t worth either.

I’m really impressed with this MZK cordless string trimmer. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and perfect for maintaining my yard without hassle. What an amazing and powerful weed wacker at a steal of a price! It’s light weight enough to hold and I have carpel tunnel so if you know, you know… It was easy to put together, comes with battery charged and line already installed so you can just go. Battery lasts a long time. The design is great. It can move angles on the head part so you can get into weird spots in the lawn. It comes with a wheel as well that allows for easy edging of the grass. It’s sturdy and just an all-around amazing product. I’m so happy I purchased this before spending 2-3 times the price for another at Home Depot.

The line on this trimmer is so flimsy that it breaks every 10-20 seconds. And the "automatic line feed" is just a lie. I have spent much more time pulling more line out or re-wrapping the spool than I have trimming weeds. It is nice and lightweight so it is easy to handle. And it has good battery life. I will try a different trimmer line and hope for the best.
