I bought this for my 6yr granddaughter. She loved it. I was impressed with how well it played/sounded being so cheap. Will it replace my more expensive ukulele? NO but for a child or beginner it's a good starting point. This was for my daughter who is 5 years old and wanted a guitar so badly. She's happy with her ukulele and loves the color. So far the main complaints are that we aren't sure how the strap is to be attached and it is way too big for a kid. The other concern are that the stings do seems to come loose. I bought this ukulele as a gift for my niece and to teach her how to play. Usually, if you buy an inexpensive instrument, you can expect some quality issues but they can be overlooked within reason. That way, if the child outgrows it or loses interest, it's not a big deal. However, the tuning pegs do not work properly at all! I expected the strings to stretch and be out of tune when an instrument is new, but the slop in the tuning pegs was ridiculous. You literally could not touch it without the strings being wildly out of tune. My dad is a guitar tech and he said there was no saving this. The workmanship is just too poor. Save your money and get something better. A kid is guaranteed to lose interest if an instrument is unplayable. ... show more
