UPDATE: Immediately after I posted a 1-star rating I was contacted by Anne at Ideal Choice Products and offered a solution to my issue, I accepted, as the ukulele itself is well made and a quality choice for the price sold. Our friend is a guitar collector and he was impressed with the quality and sound (once tuned) and thought it perfect for our 5 yo granddaughter. I will look for other products from this company because of the stellar customer service provided. 5-stars!!! No digital tuner included. That was the reason I was willing to pay $12 over other brands with similar rating. How do I rectify?

Great Beginner Ukulele – Beautiful Sound & Complete Kit

Nice beginner ukulele

We got this ukulele for my daughter who wanted a ukulele. The color and size are great for her, the strings sound good, but need a lot of tuning. The case is okay, not amazing but enough to carry it around & it comes with extra string and picks. The plastic material looks like it will be durable. Great beginner ukulele!

It's a good place to start

I bought this for my 6yr granddaughter. She loved it. I was impressed with how well it played/sounded being so cheap. Will it replace my more expensive ukulele? NO but for a child or beginner it's a good starting point. I think the strings are one of the let downs on this instrument so I will be swapping them for better strings in the future but the rest of the ukulele seems ok enough made.

The ukelele instrument needs tuning quite a lot,
especially when the strings are new- this is normal. But it's normal to need fine tuning between songs too. The tuner clips at the end of the headstock, over the face/hat logo. Comes with 2032 battery and works well. Top string is G, second string middle C, third string up to E, bottom string up to A. I did notice some of the 'teaching videos' on the internet are a bit 'off' so if you're not a musician- search around for something others recommend! And for 'basic soprano ukelele chord chart' and 'tuning a soprano ukelele'. I'm really enjoying learning it, it's a fun instrument. This is a good basic product for learning on.

Only consider this as a toy, not a serious instrument

This High Gloss Soprano Basswood Ukulele 21inch Starter Kit for Beginner is perfect for what I ordered it to do. That is to give my 2 and 1/2 year old grandson something to distract him while I try to give his 6 year old sister some basic lessons on her ukulele . It looks nice, and is light weight. Questionable as to whether it will stay tuned. The strings are supposedly nylon, but feel more like plastic. The accessories are minimally acceptable, with the exception that the auto tuner might prove useful as a backup. Tonal quality is rather poor, but may improve somewhat when the strings are "broken in"...All in all it's really a toy.

Disappointed!! Missing tuner twice!
Disappointed and Not impressed. The ukulele is ok, but not great quality. The case is very cheap and thin. Came missing the digital tuner!! I contacted amazon, then sent a replacement item, and it was also missing the tuner!! Twice! Two items, both missing the tuner! Very disappointing! This was the main reason why I got this ukulele. Not to mention all the headache to get a replacement and still have it missing the tuner
