I love how many stitches this machine has. It was a birthday gift for my 7 year old daughter and, although she cannot quite thread it herself yet, she can see on it easily, and it’s easy for her to pick the stitches she wants. She’s mostly sewing loose dresses and blankets for stuffies at this point, so I can’t comment if the machine is suitable for more complicated clothing, but it is very easy to use. The original machine we were sent did not work properly, with the tension wheel not changing the tension at all. I contacted Mueller customer service directly at the email address in the instruction manual and they were extremely responsive and quick to help me. Contrary to the very German sounding name and lack of indication on this page, this product is not actually made in Austria. It is deceptively made in China. Other than that, the machine has trouble sewing through denim and is easy to jam.

    • It’s fine for small projects, and that’s what I wanted it for.

I was a little disappointed when I first opened the box and realized that the machine was primarily made of heavy plastic. However, it is light weight and for my needs it’s just fine. I basically needed it for hemming and repairing .

Wow is this thing useless and a waste of money. It only successfully stitched anything once and only the thinnest of material. After the first change of thread it will not work at all. It makes the birds nest of thread on the bottom of anything I’ve tried to sew even after trying multiple needles and threads, along with cleaning it out as well as possible given the poor access to the bobbin area, still will not sew anything at all. I’d hand see for much cheaper and obviously much faster than using this machine. Horrible design with many flaws and cheaply made. Not worth even trying to return just going into the trash and a quality machine bought instead. Save yourself the frustration and wasted needles and thread and just buy a decent machine. Never had issues like this with any other machine that wasn’t easily fixed. ... show more
