  • Great for sensitive eyes and skin
Color: Oyster
This is my favorite eyeshadow. I have had problems in the past with eyeshadow irritating my eyes and skin, this one has never done that and I’ve been using it for almost a year now. It’s the only eyeshadow I wear!

  • Color match
Color: Sienna
As usual, the colors on the screen do not match the actual color. I did look at them on different devices trying to make sure of the colors.

  • Allergic to this new formula
Color: Dark Suede
I applied the new eyeshadows and almost immediately felt like there was dust in my eyes-then my eyelids felt odd as if they were a bit swollen …latter upon removing the eyeshadow I noticed my eyelids were reddish and still felt swollen. I will not try the eyeshadows again.it may be the dyes in certain tones . I can’t risk a reaction like that again.I had no eyelid cream or base underneath the shadow. ... show more

  • Very lux shadow
Color: Sienna
I stopped using Jane Iredale makeup several years ago after their liquid foundation (you know the cool looking one with the little balls of pigment suspended in serum?) ended up causing redness and burning after months of successful wear. I've gradually come back by starting out with their setting powder and it not causing any problems. This eye shadow is wonderfully smooth and pigmented, and I like that it's a pretty neutral color. It's not completely nude if your skin tone is at either far end of the spectrum, but for everyone else this color will be quite subtle when applied. Works as a base color for when you want to look natural, or would work with a brown smoky eye suitable for the office. Blends well, especially when used on top of a primer with silicone. Also works as an emergency cheek contour/bronzing color in a pinch if you have fair to light skin tone. As for irritation, this formula is definitely milder than previous J.I. shadows I've used. No redness or itching or watery eyes this time around. (Still no luck with the liquid foundation which really bums me out.) I've worn it a few times with and without primer to see how it holds up. With a good primer, the shadow has a little bit of creasing towards the end of the day, but that can be easily and quickly fixed with a quick buff from a shadow brush. There is more migration and creasing without an eye primer. I got through close to half the day before there was barely any shadow left on my lids. Without primer, the shadow fades away rather than ending up below the eye or all packed in the crease. The design of the compact is nifty as well. My cat knocked this shadow off the vanity the moment I sat it down after I took it out of the box to try, and boof - there he goes whacking it to the floor. I thought I was going to have to try and smoosh the shadow bits back together with some alcohol after watching it bounce across the tile floor, but the entire pan survived without even a loose crumb of shadow. From case to powder, this shadow is very well made. I wish the price per shadow wasn't so high. It is a high quality, non-irritating formula, but there are others out there just as good for 1/3 to 1/2 less but with the same amount of product. If you like to use one of those big empty magnetic palettes to hold your shadow pans in rather than dozens of individual little compacts like this, this compact doesn't want to make it easy for you to remove the pan. J.I. also doesn't sell refills for their eye shadow compacts, so you have to toss the whole thing unless you can pop out the metal pan and your local recycling center accepts this kind of plastic. J.I. also (right now) doesn't have any colors out of the nude-brown range. They used to offer a really decent variety of colorful shadows - purples, pinks, greens, mauves, etc. - but with the revamp they appear to have dropped a lot of products which is disappointing. This True Sienna color would be perfect complement to darker colored shadows, like navy or plum or forest green. ... show more

  • Nice light natural brown
Color: Sienna
This is a nice travel size eyeshadow that has a quality mirror for use when applying the eyeshadow. A great, light brown color that looks very natural on and is a flattering neutral. It stays on comparable with other brands I’ve used: a few hours at best. I don’t typically use eye primer, so this would likely help the longevity of the eyeshadow ... show more

  • Pretty!
Color: Sienna
I like Jane Iredale products because they are cruelty-free and free from synthetics. This eyeshadow was great! The packaging felt chic with the white compact. The color Sienna is a pretty neutral that worked well with my blue eyes. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion and it stayed on all day. The formula was buttery and smooth and easy to apply. It wasn't chalky or streaky. A bit expensive but no more so than many other higher end brands. It didn't irritate my eyes in any way. ... show more

  • Highly pigmented and applies evenly.
Color: Sienna
I ordered this eyeshadow in the Sienna color. This color is neutral and matte. I like how this color isn’t too loud and dramatic. When worn alone, it enhances my natural beauty. This color blends well with other colors too. This eyeshadow is highly pigmented and has buildable intensity. This is a long-wearing pressed powder eyeshadow that blends easily and does not crease. It looks great and does not irritate my sensitive eyes. It is pricey and does not include an applicator brush. ... show more
