My sectional was delivered with an alligator clip installed to keep the chaise and the couch sections together, but one half of the clip came off, and I guess it got lost. We just dealt with our couch sections sliding annoyingly apart constantly for a couple of years, until I finally got fed up and ordered these brackets. They installed quickly and easily with my cordless drill - I didn't have to drill pilot holes, but was glad my drill has a fair amount of torque.     • Great product once you cross the installation ‘river of death’
Installation required some very exacting measurements and a good understanding for how the latching mechanisms nested together. We made a template using cardboard that used the back and bottom of the sofa as edges on the template. This allowed us to put each bracket in the same spot. We did make sure to offset the opposite bracket by about 1/8” above the one it would nest into to ensure the bracket linked together rather than resting all of the weight of the sofa on the linkage. ... show more

    • Sturdy and easy to install - just measure twice, drill once !
Ordered this on Wednesday, arrived on Thursday at 2 PM. We started install (wife and I) at 3:30 PM. We laid out the brackets and aligned them appropriately on each piece of the sectional. We were VERY careful with our measurements to align the brackets using the back and the seam of the sectional fabric as our guides/points of reference. We installed the back brackets on both pieces first and they fit PERFECTLY. That was 15 minutes of careful measuring, drilling pilot holes, installing brackets with screws and then attaching sofas together. Another 10 minutes to do the "front" brackets on both pieces, and it fit perfectly the first time. RECOMMENDATIONS: Measure and measure again, go slow, make sure you "eyeball" and align brackets. They are very sturdy, sectional is now FAR MORE SOLID and acts as a single piece of furniture. EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE and the ease of Installation! Well done! ... show more

    • No more sectional seperation!
I have a rather large sectional which would separate and slide all over my floor (no scratches fortunately). I found these and based on other's reviews, I purchased one set right away and installed as soon as it arrived. Including screws is a great touch. If you are remotely handy, installation is a breeze. A few pointers/notes: 1. Yes, you will need to screw through the material but isn't that the point? It's in an area you won't see and the end result is perfectly flush. 2. My sectional is large 9+' by 15+' and I only purchased enough for one connection per sectional. The hardware is heavy duty enough where I don't think this poses an issue. 3. It may be common sense but start from one end and work to the other and follow the same tongue/groove orientation. If you start at both ends the corner/middle section will be more challenging to install ... show more

Why didn't I order this product sooner???The best ever thing ever for my sanity! My sectional has 3 separate pieces that are constantly moving since I have a tile floor-no rug under it. I am a working Mom and pretty handy around the house too and this was a breeze to install. You have to measure and take a little time to do it right-but very easy and well worth it!
