I bought this code reader as an upgrade to a basic unit that only read and erased engine codes. This reader has tons of compatible car makes and models, more than I’ve ever seen. It works great as a simple code reader but you can upgrade it for a 1 time fee to do even more. Even with the extra cost it’s still worth it. It did ask me multiple times to select a language when I first got it but hasn’t done it again. Being able to connect to wifi, email diagnostic reports, and having a touch screen is awesome. Well worth the price!

So far I am very pleased with the operation and ease of use. It has already, in two days, diagnosed and allowed me to fix a nagging check engine light on my Mini Cooper. I was getting a persistent catalytic converter malfunction on the Mini-specific code reader. however, using this unit showed a P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency ow Threshold Bank 1, which is an upper upper O2 sensor. So far really pleased with the functionality and capabilities.

Great, basic scanner without the upgrade. Very heavy duty. This one allows you to upgrade when you have the necessary $$. For a home owner, there is usually no need to pay for all the bells and whistles. Even with the 4 pack upgrade, the price is still very reasonable.. I like that you can get lifetime upgrades for it. I've already used it to trace down three odd codes on my 2014 Malibu.

I didn’t expect much for the price. But I’m pleasantly surprised. Once it did the OTA update and settled in. It work’s wonderfully. Only small gripe… on first start up. It asked me what language I wanted atleast 10 times. So some slight software bugs. Yes if you want to unlock it full potential you need to drop another $40. But to me… still worth it. Advanced scan and diagnostic from a cheap shop is $165 each time.

Well after spending another $70 in order to do diagnostics on American cars or should I say the only cars that are on there when you get it are Chinese vehicles we don't have anywhere in our country but after spending another $70 now it does not even communicate with the vehicle anymore none of the cars that I plugged into every car it says diagnostic exception I know all those cars don't have bad DLC connectors and there's no bent prongs in the plug is it junk product don't buy it wasting your money

Glad I spent the extra money to get a scanner that will explain and do more than give me a code to look up on that computer. I connected it to the Wi-Fi and it worked great, fixed my issue and told me what the problems were. I just needed to install a new map sensor, my check engine light went off.
