I was a little nervous when I was ready to use this - the price was so good that I didn't think to look at the negative reviews. Many complained about how difficult it was to find the end to unroll but on mine it was fairly straight forward. There was a piece of wire that was wound around holding the fencing tight and once I snipped it in a few precise locations I had no problems. It IS flimsy (20 gauge as advertised) but I'm using it to lay down flat around my flower bed (raised on 6" pavers) to discourage the deer from munching on all of my newly planted hydrangea and azaleas (because apparently... deer don't like to play hopscotch). The holes are big enough to let a deer hoof in and then baffle and confuse it and hopefully let them see that it's just not worth the effort. May have to lay it side by side - I imagine deer can jump 6' but hopefully not 12'. (And if they can make it 12', maybe they deserve my hydrangea for good effort). ... show more

Its not strong enough to keep out raccoon, but for protection from air predators this is a god send. And its light enough for this little old lady to install herself overhead on a ladder.
