I am a woman unfamiliar with propane tanks and found this gem extremely easy to use. Wow --- with the dual burners you can focus the heat independently to the exact spots you need it. Puts out a lot of heat. I live in Los Angeles on the beach and yesterday in 59 degree weather with winds, it worked beautifully to keep us warm. I don't know why people say get the single burner -- this is better!! i tried DynaGlo single burner and it was top-heavy toward the front and just not broad enough in heating range. This unit is nicely balanced right over the tank and if you want you can just use one burner at a time. It DOES NOT NEED MATCHES TO BE LIT !! It has a red ignition spark lighter button & I feel better not having to light a match around gas. SO EASY!!! NOTE: Came in wrong model # box with wrong instructions (said F242655 MH30T) but the actual unit was the correct "matchless" one: F242655 MH30TS. Patrician & others at Mr. Heater company gave me great customer service to figure this out. To light, turn on gas, turn on temp knob, hold in gold push button & push red igniter button down 1 or 2 times -- lights instantly. Repeat to light 2nd burner if desired. Heater is silent. I bought a rataan box on amazon to hide the ugly tank (just the burners stick out on top). I put wheels on the box. It looks just great on my balcony. ... show more

This dual tank top heater works great. I would give it 5 stars if it included a built in spark start. The heat adjustment settings in addition to being able to light one or both burners makes setting the heat output easy.

Ordered two of these heaters, one worked fine , half of the other one won’t stay lit. Amazon said I have to contact seller, seller has not gotten back to me after 3 attempts, can’t get ahold of Amazon because everything is automated. $100 heater and no one is making it right. I will never buy from this seller again and have just about had it with Amazon. I have been buying as much as possible from other sellers, in fact I bought two more of these same heaters from Home Depot last month and they were delivered the next day with no problems ... show more

After 15 years of use, I still heartily endorse Mr. Heater. I've replaced it a few times over the years. I've also had other manufacturers. You may pay a bit more for the brand but, in my world, it's worth it. The foreign versions don't last nearly as long.
