One gentleman made an extremely helpful video on how to operate this baby. Watch it. This being my first espresso machine and on a tight budget, there seemed to be enough happy opinions of the Mr. Coffee that I decided to try it. You get what you pay for. So it only makes one tiny cup at a time; the water pitcher supposedly measures enough water for you to have a 1/4 of it left to steam your milk (not). The "brew" and "steam" are confusing as to where to turn the dial and turns off when going from one to the other, ugh. I actually measured out another portion of water, after brewing the espresso, to only steam/froth the milk, how inconvenient. (So I bought a little frother separately.) The maker does not come with cleaning tools. I ordered some separately, like tiny whisks/brushes. Another inconvenience. The maker does sweat underneath it, so if you have a nice countertop make sure you wipe it dry afterward. And I found that it takes a bit of strength to 1)tighten the cap enough on the water tank; 2)pull the espresso "portafilter" into position and remove. You have to do this with both hands and there is no good way to hold the light-weight pot into a solid position while prying the filter into the straight forward position, awkward. While making, steam does escape from the water tank so I had to move the pot away from my second-tier countertop which houses all my special olive oils and vinegars, otherwise the labels would get steamed off over time. I'm still not sure how tight I should be tightening the steam cap down without ruining the seal, even though I have now made about 6 cups of espresso. Maybe that's why there's no water left with which to steam the milk; huh. ... show more

Our first espresso machine. It really does work quite well, easy to use, easy to clean. Is it super fancy? No, but compared to our other coffee machines, you know this thing is working hard to extract every bit of coffee out of a grind to make a non-watered down strong cup of coffee. Been using it non-stop for my wife because she loves good coffee and she says she loves the coffee I can brew from it (I don't drink coffee, but its fun to make). I've used regular store bought ground coffee in a can, pack it down and it still makes a lovely concentrated knock your socks off brew. I can't find a way to fault this machine for how quick it is and for the price. ... show more

I Love my Mr. Coffee Espresso machine. I was paying $6.50 twice a week for a mocha latte, this espresso machine cost $65. I was spending $702 annually on lattes. I can now pick the quality of ingredients used and make it to my taste. It’s takes more effort to make but I don’t mind.

The media could not be loaded. Okay obviously its not the BEST espresso machine ever but you definitely get what you pay for. It never pulls the perfect shot - ever. But its not bad for a small starter machine at home and having it has already 100% saved me I wanna say like $100 worth of starbucks or dunkin just by having it on hand. Buying your own syrups, your own kind of milk and making coffee how you like it. I love making my own shaken espresso’s at home. My only negative thing about if, its not the standard 18g (32g when poured) of espresso to get the perfect shot like a high end espresso machine would give you. I also didn’t like that it didn’t come with a espresso cup to pour the shot in, so make sure you have something already at home that can withstand the heat of espresso (so it doesnt shatter) or buy a separate one off of amazon like my hubby did. But for a start espresso machine, I’d give it a 7/10. I also like how small it is so it doesnt take up much counter space living a small apartment where we barely have the counter space as it is. ... show more

Love my little expresso machine so easy to use and clean small learning curve but I let the milk get hot as possible the I flip it back to drip once I see the water come out clear I flip it back. (You'll understand more when u read the manual) but even for the price it's really good better than that stupid kruig expresso maker I bought for 200 with loads of problems and broke after 2 months at ... show more

Easy to work with. Great coffee. Safety light remains on after coffee is done (unlike the IMUSA, which became a fire hazard and burned out). With the Mr Coffee, you turn coffee maker off and know item is off for real. Very safe.
