I wear shorts all year round, and these Dickies are the best I've found lately among ~$25-30+ choices. They feature about everything I want in a short: all cotton, 13" inseam, loose fit, sits at the waist if desired, has 7 belt loops instead of that store brand that has been cutting theirs down to 5!!, roomy enough pockets for big cell phone in the side pocket and wallet in the right rear, right rear has a security button closure (hey Dickies: velcro would be much easier to close/open!), can slide a 1.5" belt thru the loops easy. They measure 18.5" wide (button fastened, pull the shorts waistband tightly) - this is normal for about all 36 size shorts and pants I buy), and 24.75" long (pull the side seam tightly). Wish they had a few more color choices - the amazon ad I bought from only had 3 choices, and no light tan or camo choices. Have to wait to see if the sewing is durable.

Good product. However, the pant legs are about four inches too long - they appear clownish. I remedy that by simply rolling the pant legs up a few inches. Voila: good shorts.

I wear shorts all the time. After years and ranges of Dickies' shorts, I really tried to find some alternatives, and failed. Simple and mostly indestructible. I have green Dickies that I have been wearing more than 10 years, washed I think after at most 3 wears, and they barely changed.
