Had trouble getting started but customer service was great! I purchased a new Apple hdmi connector from amazon. The first one said apple certified but didn’t work. I contacted customer service and they responded the same day and walked me through getting started. Once I received the new hdmi cord, everything went smoothly with no problems. I like it, we connected it to our iphone to watch movie. Not necessarily use iphone brand HDMI adapter, we didnt buy it coz to me it is pricey, we called amazon customer service and gave us the link for the apple mfi certified HDMI adapter which we also bought from amazon that is way more cheaper than apple brand. Then once we have everything we removed the round cover of the projector to show it on our wall, connected the hdmi adapter to projector and iphone, then using the remote we turned on the projector, go to settings then clicked hdmi to mirror the phone on the projector. The media could not be loaded. This a really good projector ! The only thing is that your going to need, if you want to use your phone, iPad, or MacBook, is an apple HDMI adapter, specifically an apple for copy write reasons. The second thing that you may consider to get is a speaker. This is not a Bluetooth projector so you may want to go look for one that has one because it’ll make you’re life easier. But this does have a way to plug in headphones. Third thing is also optional, which is an Amazon Fire stick that comes with a Controller. If you don’t want to use ur phone or any other electronics, you could just buy the fire stick & you can download any app to watch tv shows or movies. ... show more

Firstly, I read and followed the very simple instructions in the accompanying booklet. The first projector that was sent had a USB connection but no way of choosing the USB input source on the display. I had tech support troubleshoot with me, but they were not able to help. A replacement was sent. This next projector was haphazardly thrown in the box, so it was obviously used prior. I had the same issue—no way of choosing USB as an input source on the display. All of the other input source options were available, but I wanted to use the USB input source. I bought this as a portable projector to show presentations in small meetings. The picture is bright in darkened rooms and easy to set up with a USB stick holding your files or an iPhone HDMI cable. Very basic but good for my use. Note: the file format for videos must be 1080p. It won’t show 4K video from GoPros for example unless you downsize them to 1080 size. ... show more

When I order SMONET, i read pass the fine print that said you need lightening to HDMI adaptor if you want to use your iphone or ipad for movies, etc. So i order one. It came home, I tried it. Did not work. My Roku works great with the projector, but I wanted to have a home theater with me where there is no wife capability, so i return my adapter and contact SMONET customer support for help. Sharon from SMONET helped me with my troubles, and even sent me a free Apple adaptor as a gift from them. From great sound, picture, and great customer service.
