I wanted a couple of cheap soft box lights for video. Works well, easy to use and assemble. But the box itself is a bit too heavy for the support pole. It sort of bends forward when assembled. Therefore it is a bit unstable when fully extended. I place a heavy book on bottom stand to keep it from falling over. This is okay since I don't need portability. But it needs either a stronger and heavier metal pole, or a better design.

I've been very impressed with this kit. I just set this up in my basement for a green screen setup and so far it's worked very well. I'm impressed with the brightness and have to turn it down to the lowest setting. I am using an 18mm lens at f2.0 and 400 ISO. One light box is about 2 feet from my face (for a more light wrapping effect) at about a 2:00 position and I have the other at about 3.5 feet at an 8:00 position. Note that the max brightness does vary with the light color. The brightest is the cool white color and it dims significantly as you move to a warmer color.

The stand is nothing to write home about. It's the like most basic and cheap stand you can get but it works and the light works well and comes with a remote that is the MVP in my opinion. I think this is great for a smaller home setup, I personally wouldn't want to set this up and tear it down over and over or travel with it because I don't think it would keep up.

The media could not be loaded. When I first received this product it did not come with instructions and as simple as it looks I was kind of confused on how to put it together. Finally figured it out but looking at pictures from other reviews and plugged it in and it didn’t work! I was soooooo upset I was waiting and so excited to use this light! I contacted the company and they were very fast as responding! They were going to refund but I asked if they could just send me the replacement and they did very quickly and I have it up now and it works! This company obviously cares because they were very quick to respond to my issue and I appreciate it so much! Thank you MOUNT DOGS!

Happy with these, but they are definitely home/amateur/beginner level, not for professional photographers. Good starter set. They are easy to set up and come with little bags to break down and pack up, but you have to watch that the tripod legs are set properly, with one in front and/or a sandbag otherwise it will tip over. Light ranges from cold to warm, various settings with a remote for each and a little filmy bit of fabric to add as a diffuser. Works very well for on-camera tabletop demo and small photography shoots, but some of the bits are plastic and won't stand up to constant wear and tear.

I purchased the light for filming cooking videos and dishes. Thus far, the light works very well. There were no instructions included, but it wasn't difficult to figure out how to assemble the light. The light is easy to use and can be easily disassembled and stored away when not in use. The light has made my video recordings appear much crisper and professional. It is not high end, but overall, it is a great light and the price is good.
