  • Works great
Style: Verizon Pattern Name: Trail Camera
The range is surprisingly good. Even at night time. The picture quality is good and the videos look nice. I think it's sometimes a little slow with the trigger but that's OK. I did lose the IR for a bit but followed instruction on how to reset that. Cell reception is surprisingly good as well. Glad I made this purchase and might get 1 or 2 more. ... show more

  • Bear and rain proof
Style: Verizon Pattern Name: Trail Camera
We have three of these cameras on two different properties. 2 have solar and one does not but all keep a good charge. We had a bear get friendly with one and spent a day investigating it. It eventually pulled it open and managed to damage the card causing it to not communicate with the app. A month went by before we could check on the camera and I was sure it was ruined between the bear and rain exposure. We were able to replace the sd card and it started right back up! Our cell service on one property is very limited but these are able to upload without issue. ... show more

  • Won't catch much.
This was my first cellular trail cam and it was a nightmare to set up. I come from a tech background so it bewildered me with it's complications for such a simple product. I have multiple complaints, and will list accordingly. 1. Initial set up. Instructions were vague, (about 4 steps) that could be summarized in a status light of either green if proper, yellow, or red if not working at all for connectivity issues, battery, etc. I got a mix of colors which included orange as well as all of the above. Nothing indicates what an orange light meant. 2. SD card issues. It's picky, so picky it calls for a class 10, non micro, non- ultra, non-super, SD cards that are only within a 4 to 32 gigabyte range. Why they can't send you one, I haven't a clue(yes you have to buy it separately and have it formated and in place before the device can even operate, you have a ten second format window to make it right after powering on the device, it fried one SD card during format, another one worked although the lights never confirmed the format was complete as stated. I am a photographer and none of my SD cards would work, so I stole one out of my fiance's old camera and it happened to like that one. 3. We have a coyote problem, I have seen packs of five in my yard as they are lured by my female dog. When I got the camera, a rabbit happened to run in front of it and stop, to which I shot the rabbit on camera, and as rabbits do, did a few backflips before landing. Camera did not catch it. Oh well, I finally got a test picture by walking in front of it and knew the perfect spot, fresh killed rabbit at dusk, mixed with a pile of old meatloaf in front of the camera, 1 o clock in the morning you could hear the howl of about 15 to 20 coyotes as i let my dog out who signaled their presence. Nothing was captured. 4. Neighbors cat walked in front of it and sat and licked itself, a black and white cat that contrasted stunningly against the wooded background. Nothing. The only time it goes off is when I walk in front of it on purpose to see if it still works revealing a bigfoot like capture.....sometimes. 5. If a video is captured ..if... You have to upload it and see it, these uploads cost money from the plan you buy. My uploads could take days to show up once requested, even though I have everything to upload immediately. (Not the recommend every 6 hour time frame) 6. No way to watch anything in realtime. 2 cellphones can make this happen, but a cell phone and cellular trail cam with a monthly plan cannot. Literally can not monitor anything in realtime. Only 15 second clips when it detects something, you have no control when it takes video or pictures, you get what you get which isn't much. I look like a ghost appearing out of thin air then nothing else on the video since it missed me going but caught me coming halfway through the frames with no pictures of me doing either. 7. Gps tagged where my phone was, not the cam. I know where I am. Keep in mind this was all tested under perfect conditions with a full cellular signal and battery. ... show more

  • Good camera
Style: Verizon Pattern Name: Trail Camera
Only thing I don’t like about this camera is that it picks up cars 200ft away, so it goes off continuously. I know it seems odd it would be a bad thing but getting 100 photos of cars a day sucks. Since it is only supposed to range 80ft. Just wish you could set it where it’s not so sensitive. But other than that the picture quality is great. ... show more

  • Flash will not work properly.
Updated review. After live chatting with Moultrie customer service, they replaced the camera on warranty with no questions asked, also credited me for the month of service. Have fought with this camera since day 1. Used the suggested lithium batteries, set to upload once a day. Flash stopped working in 2 days. Replaced batteries, still no flash. Purchased the Moultrie brand 12 volt battery pack thinking that might help, still nothing. Pulled the camera, brought it home and did the IR filter reset. Flash was working fine at home, put the camera back out on a fresh charged 12v pack and now multiple pictures last night with no flash. I am at wits end with this junk. Time to buy a different brand camera. ... show more
